This week, the entertainment for our ELMIRA SUNDAY CONCERT, will be GRANITE HILL. They entertain with a mixture of contemporary and traditional bluegrass material, including 3-part harmony vocals, dynamic instrumentals, and even a few numbers imported from country or folk. Established in 2018, that band includes members with many years of experience in bluegrass and other musical genres: Al Draper - guitar & lead vocals; Doug McNaughton - fiddle; Norm Tellier - mandolin & tenor vocals; Steve Greer - banjo & baritone vocals; and Bill Carson - bass & vocals.

Sunday Evening 7 to 9 pm, Gibson Park, First Street, Elmira.
Admission free with a voluntary donation.
Come early, bring a lawn chair.

Granite Hill had a great time performing at the well-attended River Valley Bluegrass Jamboree- congratulations to the de Boer family for keeping these events going for 40 years!

In 6 short days we are set to welcome a full slate of campers to the Northern Lights Bluegrass and Old Time Music Camp with the Festival to follow. It is going to be a fabulous time.

Registered campers - our gates open at 12 pm on Monday, August 12th. We will have staff to greet and guide you. Registration begins at 3 pm. Please check your emails prior to leaving for last minute details. Fingers crossed for aurora this year!!

WOW! What a weekend...did we have fun! If we weren't listening to one of the fantastic bands on one of the stages we were out having some fun. The Blueberry Music Festival is more than music when the sun is shining and everyone is wearing a smile. Thanks everyone!

🎶 Exciting Update! 🎶

Hey everyone! We've heard your feedback and we're thrilled to announce a fresh new direction for our youth class at the Northern Lights Music Camp - August 12-16th at beautiful Ness Creek.

Introducing our revamped "Intro to Bluegrass and Old Time" previously titled Youth Jam Class. The Jam Band concept is still our goal, we are creating exciting future bands! But in speaking to parents, we recognize that some of our youth are curious beginners and this class is perfect for those with little to no previous experience.

So what do we have in mind? Our Emma is ready to introduce young folks to what makes music fun. If you've seen Emma around the site in previous years, you'll know she's a kid magnet! Combine this with her knowledge and love of violin, guitar, bass and voice and you have a win. Emma is prepared to meet each of her students where they are to create fun path forward to a musical journey. There will be music, there will be movement, there will be fun.

Here we go!! The High Bar Gang rides again! We'll be at the Vancouver Island MusicFest coming up soon! I go WAY back with this festival and love it so much. It's where The Luckies were born, it was where we got to do a Hometown Band Reunion, it was the first time I heard The Bros. Landreth, and the year we christened the David Grierson Stage - so many great memories! So I'm thrilled to be able to come back my HBG Family!
