Sometimes when we focus so much on the temporary (the person, ego, etc.), we loose track of the eternal (God, Spirit, Universe). Love is always there. What is in the way of that experience?

My logo is here! After a few years of wondering what to make as my logo, I realized it was right under my nose the whole time! As I would introduce myself to people, I would say "I am Risin Son and it's here if you don't remember" and point to my tattoo. Here are just some of the color variations and styles that will now be appearing on my flyers. Big thanks to Autumn Tierney of Three Graces Tattoo in Bangor, ME for the design of both my tattoo and my logo!

Well, this is it guys. This is. The "isness". I have been posting for 49 weeks (almost 1 year) about the 8 limbs of Yoga. With each graphic showing one of the steps as outlined in the Yogic practice towards realization. Samadhi being the final step. What a journey it has been. I have certainly learned many things, and I hope you have too!

Samadhi is often translated as bliss or enlightenment. The word Sama means ‘same’ or ‘equal’, while the word dhi means ‘to see’. Samadhi is not about escaping from reality into a blissful state so much as to come to the realization that everything just is.

Once we are able to obtain this perspective from the human lens, we are transported to the center. The stillness in between all happenings. A place of non-judgment and simple observance. This journey takes a long time, so no rush. It is not every being's destiny to reach this state of consciousness this life. So no pressure. Even to learn about the different possibilities can be enlightening. As I close this practice of posting the 8 limbs of Yoga, part of me wonders: "What's next?" The other part of me knows: "Whatever will be, will be." Much Love to each and every one of you! Namaste.

Dyhana means “contemplation and meditation” and is described as meditative absorption. Dhi translates to ‘mind’ and yana translates to ‘moving’. ’This is a state reached spontaneously while meditating. When in Dhyana, the mind is no longer reacting and analyzing as in everyday life, but rather open in awareness. This is the state where all distractions such as thoughts, emotions, and desires drop out and all that remains is the true self. The process of self discovery can now begin. If you had to answer this question without saying your name, anything you've done, or anyone you know, how would you answer this: Who are you?

No matter what the scenario, there is one majorly innovative and spectacular event coming this month. MAINE FUNGI FEST 2024 is happening from May 17-19, 2024, at University of Southern Maine in Portland, ME. With collaboration from the Permatours crew, I am certain there is so much talent, knowledge, and passion manifesting in a sharing format. A true community networking opportunity and chance to learn new things. The entertainment is lit! There is a free section and a ticketed section.
