Friends, we are in wild times it seems...we are hungry for meaning and belonging and a connection to something real and deep and ancient and sacred. American "culture" is collectively malnourished in shared ritual and reverance for ancestral wisdom, distrustful of our sacred intuitive gifts and instincts and we are lost spiritually, ecologically and cosmically.

My good pal, Tammy Wampler and I are deeply motivated to playfully encourage and remind folks of our co-participation in this cosmic experience...To remind our fellow beings that we are living many miracles every day and that we have so many tools from our ancient wisdom keepers, our elemental teachers and our intuitive knowing to transform our relationship with the planet, ourselves and each other. We have the potential to tap into our instincts while attuning to the weather and potential laid out by the astrological cycles on order to work in alignment with the seasons and cycles of our lived experiences.

2025 is a year full major cosmic shifts and opportunities for reflection and realignment. We hope you will join us on December 29 at Wildside Winery for this special end of year event to tap into the many gifts available as we journey forth into uncertain times with curiosity and awareness! We have many activities and rituals planned to come together in an intentional, curious and imaginative way!

Say this prayer with us, friends.... Imagine the hearts of those justices opening and their eyes seeing this opportunity to protect this land and these people on behalf of freedom for all beings... not just the 2 leggeds, but the infinite creatures and plant beings that share this earth with us. Imagine them remembering we all belong to this earth and each other. Imagine healing.

Firmness of Rock
Stability of Mother Earth
May the spirit of God touch the hearts of all those appointed to the Supreme Court that they might remember the suffering of this land and her people, that they will remember who they are and who they can become again, and that they will not only remember these truths, but that they will now act justly to enact laws
to protect Oak Flat, Apache religion, Mother Earth and all Creation.

I was raised Catholic, my ancestral lines on both sides are largely Catholic and certainly Christian. I went to Catholic school through the 7th grade and my first spiritual initiation was through the archetype of the Christ through the stories of Jesus. Though I have not been a practicing Catholic for decades, I love the Jesus story and first learned about ceremony, rituals and elemental offerings through Catholic mass.

Today Christians and Christian adjacent folks prepare to gather with loved ones and celebrate the birth of light, of Jesus, the Son of God. On the Solstice we celebrated the rebirth of our planetary Sun and it's return. There are so many sacred holy-days during the winter season: Solstice, Hannukah, Christmas, Yule, New Year, Kwanzaa. In all of the stories and mythologies connected to this time of Celebration, we are honoring a return of light in some symbolic or archetypal way.

As I reflect on my Christian roots and the celebration of the birth of Jesus of Nazareth, my heart is heavy for the people and animals who have suffered in his original birthplace. Of the violent and horrific conflict over the last few months and well before that. How Christmas have been cancelled in the holy land. I grieve for the loss, pain and trauma of war.

But I can't help but think of the birth story of Jesus, a beautiful story of hope that came on this symbolic day 2000ish years ago (more or less), how angels appeared and sacred celestial lights shined bright, and a way was made for the Sun of God, through story and symbol and belief to shine forth! I don't have to attach to a religious framework to honor the beauty in this ancient tale. It's a lovely story...

SO I'm gonna tenderly toss some hope out there and pray with my whole-heart, that there will be light again soon in this sacred land. That angels will come and aid in this conflict, comfort the suffering, ease the angry and heal the planet... and that human beings will remember that we belong to each other and we belong to this earth.
