Therefore, embracing a "melting pot" that follows a natural course between Sensations, Suggestions, Consciousness and Construction. We begin by exploring the different areas that gastronomy invokes, we move on to the various calls, currents, trends, influences and factors to be taken into consideration to achieve sustainability and entrepreneurship. We focus on business.
The 3-day work plan involves open discussions, tastings, lunches, dinners, and the presentation of ideas, projects and businesses. It is designed for specialists from different areas, such as chefs, producers and nutritionists, designers, artists, journalists, anthropologists, writers, teachers and entrepreneurs.
AGAVI - Portuguese Association for the Promotion of Gastronomy and Wine, Regional Products and Biodiversity – is the association that organizes Melting and was founded in 2010 as a non-profit trade association with the main objective of contributing to a greater dynamism in the agri-food sector. Since then it has asserted its position and fulfilled the objectives through various activities at home and abroad. AGAVI received an honourable mention in the Agriculture Award 2017, in the "Associations and Cooperatives” category. This distinction followed its participation in the 6th edition of the Agriculture Award organised by Correio da Manhã and Jornal de Negócios, in partnership with BPI and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development.
