ADVERB OF THE DAY: ENORMOUSLY

We often think transformation has to be dramatic, but sometimes the smallest shifts change us enormously: a pause in the noise, a choice to step away, or a moment of solitude that reframes everything.

"Eating Adverbs" is built on those kinds of moments - the ones that don’t announce themselves loudly, but still alter the rhythm of our lives.

As I begin sixteen weeks of revision, I’ll be reaching out for your insights. Because the book isn’t just mine - it’s shaped by the ways you’ve been changed enormously too.

What’s a moment that shifted you enormously, even if it seemed small at the time?

ADVERB OF THE DAY: ALREADY

So much of life is already in motion before we realize it: the habits we’ve repeated, the resilience we’ve practiced, the quiet clarity that’s been building beneath the surface.

This week marks the first of sixteen weeks of revision for "Eating Adverbs." By the end, I’ll submit the final copy to the publisher. And here’s the truth: the book is already alive in the conversations we’ve had, the reflections you’ve shared, and the curiosity you’ve carried with me.

What has already taken root in your life - something you didn’t notice until it held you steady?

A special adverb for today: OFFICIALLY

Today marks the start of sixteen weeks of revision for "Eating Adverbs." At the end of this stretch, the final manuscript will be submitted to the publisher.

But revision isn’t only about polishing words, it’s about listening. Listening to what’s already there, noticing what needs to be reshaped, and honoring the rhythms that have carried the work this far.

In many ways, this book has always been about those kinds of moments: the ones where solitude becomes strength, where clarity arrives quietly, and where resilience is practiced in repetition.

And now, officially, the process of shaping the final copy begins. Over these weeks, I’ll be reaching out for reflections and insights, because the book isn’t just mine, it’s a conversation with you.

What feels officially underway in your own life right now? Something you’ve committed to, even if it’s still unfolding?

Adverb of the Day: Infrequently

"Infrequently" is how clarity arrives.

It doesn't show up on demand, or on schedule . . . but it does show up in your rhythm. When you stick with something and keep the momentum going, clarity eventually arrives. It often feels infrequent - but at least it's there.

"Eating Adverbs" honors that rhythm.

It’s not a book of answers precisely - more a book of invitations.

The book invites the reader to pause, to reflect, and to notice what's already unfolding in their life. That unfolding may feel infrequent, but it's there.

When was the last time clarity surprised you - quietly, and not on schedule?

Adverb of the Day: Away

"Away" doesn’t always mean gone.

Sometimes it means spacious.

"Eating Adverbs" is being written from that place - just a little bit away from the noise.

Away from urgency, performance, and the idea that we have to be visible to be valuable.

It’s a book about what happens when we step back, listen in, and let the rhythm find us.

Where do you go (physically or emotionally) when you need to hear yourself again?

Adverb of the Day: Gently

"Gently" is how "Eating Adverbs" is being written.

Not in a rush.
Not in a frenzy.
But in the quiet spaces between things.

This book is about solo joy, emotional clarity, and the kind of resilience that doesn’t shout. It hums.

It’s not a manifesto. I think of it more as a mirror, and it is being built gently, with care and cadence and the kind of attention that only solitude can offer.

What’s something you’ve done gently but with deep intention?

Adverb of the Day: Still

I used to think "still" meant stuck - as in: not moving, not progressing, and (worst of all) not enough.

But now I think of "still" as presence - as in: still here, still listening, and still becoming.

"Eating Adverbs" is being written in moments like that: quiet mornings, long walks, solo dinners, or the hush between chapters.

Stillness isn’t absence. It’s awareness.

Where does "still" show up in your life - a place that may feel stuck but is actually just pausing?
When do you feel most present, not because you’re doing, but because you’re noticing?

November 15th is "National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day." Even though I live alone and try to keep up, I must admit that my refrigerator (and freezer) sometimes get a little scary. I guess this is a kick in the rear to go do some cleaning. 😊😊

Adverb of the Day: Frequently

Frequently, I’ve wondered if "Eating Adverbs" would ever reach the people who need it.

If the quiet power of solo joy would resonate.
If emotional clarity could be shared without performance.
If resilience could be reframed as rhythm, not grit.

And now I know: it will.

Because you showed up and supported he pre-sale campaign. You made it possible for "Eating Adverbs" to move forward.
