Another gorgeous variety! 😍 flower friends, what is it? Very similar to Butter and Eggs, but the center is more ruffled! These have grown at Joe’s grandmother’s house for years, and now they will move to ours.

Thankfully we only had some minor damages compared to a lot of Scottsville with no power, limited cell signal, trees down, ripped plastic etc. (though our kids may state otherwise since their trampoline is a mangled mess!), but what really struck me yesterday was the immediate response of the community. Nathan was immediately on their tractor clearing trees out of the road, most of it out of the way before we even arrived. We always want to be seen as people you can call in that moment to get help- community is far more important to us than any flower sale. Let us know what you need!

Cut a handful of flowers this evening and it gave me so much joy 💐

We don’t sell daffodils, but we love having them around! They are our first signs of spring here. We are trying to pace ourselves around here and not grow too fast (since I work full-time and Joe is taking classes), but it’s hard not to plant everything so I can walk out and cut flowers and/or greenery every day of the year! Someday. 🤞

We are enjoying a slight social media break while we prep our spring beds and take some time to rest after a busy growing season!

On September 29th, join us and dozens of other vendors at Night Y’all! We’ll be bringing our last harvest of the season for one spectacular night- scroll to see the bucket we harvested last night! Even though the end of the season is near, we still have tons of gorgeous flowers to choose from!

As the days get shorter, the flowers slow down, but we still have subscriptions going out weekly through the end of the month! We’ll also be at an event on the 29th of this month as the official close to our season with every flower we have left for this year (in Bowling Green). Details coming soon!

Don’t let our recent photos fool you- we have more than sunflowers growing out here!

We harvested gladiolus and zinnias tonight, and should have the flower stand ready for sales in a day or two- minus paint, which may take another month at this rate! But at least you’ll be able to swing by and pick up flowers at your convenience.

It’s the first day of summer and the flowers couldn’t be happier!

Our newest endeavor? We have started a flower farm here in Scottsville, Kentucky, where we moved after Joe was medically retired from the Navy. Stretching my creativity to learn something so new has been fulfilling, frustrating, and basically every emotion in between- while I have grown cut flowers for years, we were in a completely different growing zone, and I grew enough for myself and the occasional bouquet to share. Now, we have thousands of sunflowers in the ground to share in a few weeks!

We still have a lot of growing to do (both personal and floral), but we are excited to see where this takes us over the next several years. And if you are in the Scottsville and Bowling Green area, hopefully you will have our flowers on your kitchen table soon.
