It’s with a very heavy heart that Hamish the playbus bids fair well to you all.
The playbus bus was run by my father (Andy) and myself (Mark) over the last 12 years. In December 2018 I (Mark) went through a life saving liver transplant but we managed to keep the bus entertaining children. My father (Andy) suffered a massive heart attack as covid lockdowns started which ultimately broke us. We tried desperately after the world reopened to start again but it wasn’t meant to be. The final straw was when bus got vandalised over and over. As a result of lack of action from police the bus ultimately was set on fire and destroyed. Unfortunately for us we didn’t have insurance as it increased by a factor of 5.
Over the 12 years the bus entertained 400,000+ children and we couldn’t be happier. If you were a parent or teacher that used the bus please leave a comment or picture to show what Hamish meant to you.
