I was home (in MN) for wedding last weekend. The wedding was gorgeous, even special. In the midst of all the joy, I taught several people how to lock pick. You know, a very traditional activity at weddings.

Shot at the range for about an hour today. Felt ok. There was a small group of teenage boys also shooting. A few things occurred to me.
1) They didn’t know the proper etiquette for a public range - like not shooting while someone was out recovering arrows.
2) They were just having fun, being boys. They were a little loud, playing music, laughing, poking fun at each other. Just harmless fun.
3) One of them asked me where I got my Recurve (they were all shooting compact compound set-ups). We talked briefly about the difference in difficulty between traditional (scopeless) and tricked out modern bows. Interesting stuff.

Philosophically, I believe that magicians are part of the hospitality services of an event more than entertainment. ...
