ADMU ECCE Department | 12.09.23

We're stoked to share about the awesome party we helped organize and coordinate for the Ateneo Electronics, Computer, and Communications Engineering (ECCE) Department's 25th anniversary! It was our team's debut sponsored event, and what can we say… It was a blast! Picture this: fundraising for their scholarship program, mingled with a night packed with fun and bonding between faculty, staff, and students.

The event was bustling with activities, with everyone from professors to alumni putting in their contribution to create a fun evening of lively musical performances and interactive games. As the night wound down, the vibe was pure happiness, gratitude, and fellowship. Faculty and students alike bonded over shared experiences, renewing their commitment to Ateneo ECCE's legacy of excellence and community.

✨ SPECIAL MENTIONS: ✨

🪄 Shout out to Ms. Ma Catherine I. Iquitan for her magic powers in planning and party organizing! If not for her hands-on orchestration, this event wouldn't be possible.

🎤 Also sending our appreciation to the ever-game and hyper-energetic master of ceremonies for the night, Sir Kwong!

📸 Finally, honored to have worked alongside the original photoman, Photoman PH. We’re grateful for your generous sponsorship for this event!

Our team's first sponsored bash for the Ateneo ECCE Department's 25th anniversary was a real game-changer—it showed us the power of coming together for a cause. Cheers to many more epic events ahead!

Mimi x Mike | 07.10.23

From the onset of planning, Mimi and Mike knew precisely what they wanted and how they wanted their wedding to be carried out--from the minute details to the overall feel of the event. The months of preparations leading up to the big day went by seamlessly because of their clear vision and ability to turn their vision into reality.

Mimi and Mike weren't just any couple; they were DIY royalty, ready to infuse their personality and style into every aspect of their special day. (Take for example their election ballot wedding invitation that they designed, truly one of a kind!)

On the morning of the wedding day, the venue was just filled with fun and chill vibes--a good foreshadowing of what was to come ahead. Add to this equation their well-chosen and -curated team of suppliers who were super easy to work with and who did not fail to deliver an awesome job, and we get an unforgettably fun day of celebration.

We had a great time working with you, Mimi and Mike! It's been months since your wedding, but congratulations still! :)

Mariel x Raf | 02.20.23

You know how everyone worries about the rain when you’ve got an outdoor wedding? Well, the wedding celebration of Raf and Mariel proved that no setback could really keep them from celebrating their love. Even a 𝙜𝙡𝙤𝙗𝙖𝙡 𝙥𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙘 couldn’t keep these two from getting hitched, what more a little rain?

Mariel and Raf started planning their wedding with us as early as 2019. We had to postpone, as you can all imagine. But COVID didn’t keep them from bringing all their loved ones together, even with over two years in between. But a lot of this wouldn’t have been possible without the couple’s friends and family that chipped in to make their tailor-made ceremony and reception a reality.

Never let a bit of the unknown keep you from the wedding of your dreams~ Sometimes we have to embrace the unexpected and welcome a bit of rain for our celebrations to be even more memorable!

Gail x Ray | 02.11.23

Let me let you in on a secret.

Gail and I go way back, having known each other since high school but eventually becoming more bonded after college, being part of a little known group of high school friends in long distance relationships. Most of us graduated from this group but Gail was steadfast in her love and commitment to her then-boyfriend-now-husband Ray. This finally led us to this wonderful day we could only dream of once for Gail.

To say that Gail and Ray stood the test of distance and time is an understatement. Because it’s not only the decades-worth of missed connections and reconnections between the two of them that they had to go through, but they also encountered a major setback in wedding planning when we were hit by the global pandemic. But these two seem to already be experts on how to roll with the punches and make the most of the cards they’ve been dealt with. (More of their story can be found on their wedding website, which Gail and Ray have so thoughtfully prepared to make their guests feel included in their journey.)

Speaking of challenges, being an overseas couple is another thing that these two had to deal with. It’s no easy task to organize an elaborate event that involves many different suppliers. And for this, we have to thank Gail’s sister, ate Joy. This wedding would not be possible without her hands-on assistance from preparations, to turnover, until the end of the event. Sometimes, it really takes a village to pull off the wedding of your dreams.

To Gail and Ray, congratulations on making this day come true! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and plenty of moments of ease with your little ones. :)

xx,
Faith

HOW TO PREPARE FOR EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS DURING YOUR EVENT?

Hello, friends, lovers, and hustlers!

It’s been raining in Manila, how have you been?

One of the challenges in planning a wedding or any kind of event is the unpredictability of the weather here in this tropical country. It could be exciting, yes. But it could also be a logistical nightmare if you did not prepare for it enough. At Synchronicity, we've successfully navigated extreme heat and unexpected downpour, and we want to share our top tips for ensuring your celebration goes off without a hitch, rain or shine.

🌡️ MONITOR THE WEATHER: Keep a close eye on the weather forecast in the days leading up to your event, and consider consulting with meteorologists for professional insights. One of our clients actually did this, and we managed to dodge a heavy downpour at Sofitel!

⛺ ALWAYS HAVE A PLAN B: Prepare for contingencies by having a backup plan. Consider renting a tent or or securing an indoor venue for shelter from rain or harsh sun.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑KEEP GUESTS INFORMED: Communicate any potential weather-related changes to your guests. Provide recommendations such as sunscreen, hats, fans, umbrellas or even shawls depending on the forecast.

🕶️ PREPARE WEATHER-APPROPRIATE ACCESSORIES: Offer weather-appropriate accessories that match your theme, such as sunglasses, outerwear, and flat footwear.

⛈️ EMBRACE THE ELEMENTS: Sometimes, weather can add a unique charm to your event. Be open to embracing it, and consider it part of your celebration's story. In February, during one of our events, an unexpected rain shower surprised us. Rather than waiting it out, we seamlessly incorporated these natural elements into the event.

☔ ON-THE-SPOT SOLUTIONS: If unexpected weather strikes during your event, consider quick solutions like providing umbrellas, towels for drying seats, fans for heat, or portable heaters for chillier evenings.

Remember, your event is about celebration, and we're here to help you make it unforgettable no matter what weather surprises come your way.

Need help with planning? Reach out to us via DM! We're dedicated to making your day extraordinary, rain or shine.

IS IT WORTHWHILE TO GO TO A BRIDAL/WEDDING FAIR?

Hello, friends, lovers, and hustlers!

Midyear and end of the year bridal/wedding fairs are a thing! You might be having a hard time deciding whether or not to get that early bird access ticket. Let us help you with that!

Attending a bridal or wedding fair can have its benefits, but whether it's worth it or not depends on your specific needs and preferences. Here are some reasons to go to a bridal or wedding fair according to our clients!

TO GET INSPIRATION AND IDEAS. Bridal fairs can be a great source of inspiration. You can see various suppliers and exhibitors showcasing their products and services, including wedding dresses, decorations, cakes, photography, and more. It can help you gather ideas and visualize what you want for your own wedding.

TO MEET SUPPLIERS IN PERSON. Wedding fairs provide an opportunity to meet and interact with different suppliers face-to-face to ask questions, discuss your requirements, and get a better sense of their work, style, and pricing. You can also do your vibe check with them during this time.

TO GET SPECIAL OFFERS AND DISCOUNTS. Our clients take advantage of the many special discounts, promotions, or exclusive deals at bridal fairs. If you're looking to save money or get some extra perks, attending a fair could potentially help you secure better deals.

TO SAVE TIME AND BE EFFICIENT IN SOURCING SUPPLIERS. Wedding fairs can be a time-saving option as they bring together multiple suppliers under one roof. Instead of scheduling separate appointments or visiting individual businesses, you can explore a range of options in a single location, making it more convenient and efficient.

On the flip side, here are some things that may convince you to skip that next bridal/wedding fair on your event calendar:

YOU MIGHT GET OVERWHELMED. Wedding fairs can sometimes be overwhelming due to the sheer number of suppliers and the bustling atmosphere. It's essential to set your expectations and have a clear headspace going into the exhibition. It is best to do your research first to already have an idea of what you're looking for to avoid feeling overwhelmed or making hasty decisions under pressure.

YOU MIGHT GO OVER BUDGET. While wedding fairs can offer discounts, it's crucial to evaluate whether the overall costs align with your budget. Sometimes, the excitement of the fair can lead to impulse purchases or going over budget, so exercise caution and stay focused on your financial limitations.

Ultimately, attending a bridal or wedding fair can be a fun and informative experience, especially if you're at the early stages of wedding planning. However, if you have already finalized most of your suppliers or have a clear vision for your wedding, a wedding fair may be less beneficial. Consider your specific needs, preferences, and budget to make an informed decision about whether attending a bridal or wedding fair is worth it for you.

We really ended 2022 with a BANG! of color! and energy! 💐🌟🌈🎇

Our last wedding for 2022 was one of those types where no matter how many small details come into play, when you’re dedicated to the big vision, then everything will beautifully fall into place. 💖 We were so happy to have Mela and Earl trust us to help them in making this big vision a reality.

Earl (an architect!) is practical, introverted, and reliable. His personality contrasted with Mela (Ginx’ childhood friend!) who was animated, friendly, and colorful (in everything!). But even with such different personalities, it was very important for this couple to find a way to “marry” both of themselves in the overall look, feel, and theme of their big day. They were very meticulous in choosing suppliers that really fit into their chosen theme, and it really paid off!

Mela and Earl, thanks for having Team Synchronicity help you pull off one of our most gorgeous weddings to date!

WHEN’S THE RIGHT TIME TO START PLANNING FOR A WEDDING?

Hello, friends, lovers, and hustlers!

We’ve been getting inquiries for events and weddings for the end of the year and we always get the same question, “Do we have enough time to prepare for a wedding?”

Certainly the answer to this varies and would ultimately depend on how capable the clients are in handling pressure. But outside of that, the right time to start preparing for a wedding depends on various factors, such as the size and complexity of the event, availability of suppliers, and cultural traditions.

Generally, it's advisable to start planning well in advance, typically around 9-12 months before the wedding date. This allows ample time to secure the desired venue, book suppliers, and make important decisions regarding the ceremony, reception, and overall wedding style.

By starting early, you have more flexibility in selecting the perfect venue, hiring your preferred suppliers, and ensuring availability of services. It also provides an opportunity to create a realistic budget (and save up along the way), gather inspiration, and make informed choices about the various elements of your wedding, such as the theme, decor, and attire.

However, it's worth noting that smaller and simpler weddings may require less time for preparation, and some couples may prefer a shorter engagement. Ultimately, the right time to start preparing for a wedding is a personal decision that should take into account your specific circumstances, priorities, and the vision you have for your special day.

Need help getting started? Drop us a line and schedule a FREE Exploratory Meeting with us, and receive a wedding planning timeline to guide you through the preparation process. Let’s plan that wedding! ;)

WHICH SUPPLIER SHOULD I CHOOSE?

Hello, friends, lovers, and hustlers!

As you plan your wedding, one of the most significant decisions you will make is choosing the suppliers who will help make your day special. There are many factors to consider when selecting a supplier, including the size of the company.

On one hand, a small-time wedding supplier can offer a more personalized experience and more attention to detail. They may have more flexibility to work within your budget and provide a more unique and personalized touch. You can also develop a closer relationship with them, and they can become invested in making your day perfect.

On the other hand, working with an established company can offer more reliability and a higher level of expertise (if you get or request for their senior team members). They may have more experience and resources to handle any situation that may arise. They also have a reputation to uphold, which can give you peace of mind.

However, there are also some potential drawbacks to consider when working with either option. A small-time supplier may have limited availability or resources, and they may not have the same level of backup or support as an established company. An established company may have more standardized processes, which may not offer as much flexibility or room for customization.

In conclusion, there are pros and cons to working with both small-time wedding suppliers and established companies. It's important to consider your PRIORITIES, BUDGET, and PREFERENCES when making your decision. Ultimately, it's crucial to choose a supplier who you feel comfortable with, who understands your vision, and who will work hard to make your wedding day everything you've dreamed of.

At Synchronicity, we encourage our clients to do a VIBE CHECK with their prospects to see if they feel comfortable working with these suppliers. We strongly believe that it’s not just the output or service delivery that is important to consider when choosing a supplier, but the working relationship that you build with them and they have with the other teams also speaks volumes.

ON HIDDEN COSTS!

Hey, friends, lovers, and hustlers!

How's your wedding planning going? We hope everything is coming along nicely. Speaking of planning, have you thought about all the hidden costs that may come up during your big day?

It's not just the obvious things like the venue, catering, and decorations that you have to consider. There may be extra fees for electricity, parking, setup, and cleaning, as well as charges for overtime, rental items, or last-minute changes.

To avoid any unexpected expenses, it's important to do your research and ask suppliers about all possible costs upfront, and don't be afraid to negotiate or ask for discounts. And don't forget to read the fine print of contracts carefully!

If you're feeling overwhelmed, one option is to hire a wedding or event planner who can help you navigate the planning process and keep you on track financially. They have the expertise and experience to anticipate and plan for all possible expenses, so there are no surprises on the day of your event.

At Synchronicity Events, we offer a COMMITMENT- and COST-FREE Exploratory Meeting so we can help you get started! Shoot us a DM if you want to learn more. Let's make your big day stress-free and unforgettable!
