Finally catching our breath…I’m pretty sure I’m not alone saying that the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas are always a whirlwind! Okkk Halloween kicked it off first… I just feel like all those weeks just get shorter and faster each year! …and JAM PACKED full of so many wonderful moments and memories!!!

❤️ One of the most special days we recently shared was with Stephanie and Jeff - just one week ago!!!! These guys have hearts of gold - super fun & kind souls with excellent senses of humor!! We laughed quite a bit through the planning process together which made it even more exciting leading up to their wedding day!! They wanted to bring their friends and families together to celebrate with great food, a beautiful atmosphere and a GRAND party - And that’s exactly what happened! I miss them already - we LOVED being part of this sweet and exciting day! Truly a joy! Happy ONE WEEK married Stephanie & Jeff!! 🥰🎉❤️

Of course your Thanksgiving tables and place settings don’t have to look like this…be easy on yourselves - don’t let the pressures of the season overwhelm you. And all the pretty things you see on social media or TV should not set the standards of what REAL LIFE really looks like!!! Find ways to save you time to make life easier…but still fulfill your hosting heart…or guest gratitude.

Here are a few shortcuts and easy plans for our Thanksgiving this year:

🌿Greenery from the yard for table centerpieces / decor (add a few flowers or berries for pops of color)

🍽️Assorted plates and flatware from a few houses (BYOP&F!) Family heirlooms are fun to pull out, dust off & use too!

🥧PAPER plates for desserts!

👩‍🍳🧑‍🍳Teens are doing a baking “contest” with some fav dishes - so the cooking is shared and there is enthusiasm and “thankfulness.”

📋My sister made a “sign-up” sheet for the oven use - a must!

🦃Shawn brought his own grill - to save on cook times, oven space and so he can do his own thing!

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and make room for grace & kindness - for yourself and to others.
