“A good wedding planner knows how to make a wedding run smoothly. A great wedding planner knows how to figure it out when things hit the fan. And my goodness, Jen is the BEST wedding planner by those standards.
Jen Shaefer is not only an incredible planner, but just one of the kindest humans I have ever worked with. We grew so close over the 3 months that we worked together planning my reception, and everything was perfect and I felt supported and validated all the way through the process, with decisions big and small. I asked a million questions and Jen provided a million and one answers with kindness and patience.
Jen also knows how to problem solve when it matters the most. Three hours before the reception in an unexpected twist, she had to break the news to me that the venue our reception was being held in had lost power and A/C, and we could no longer hold our event in the space. She didn't come to me with the issue though, she gave us multiple solutions to choose from other available options and explained exactly how she was going to make sure everything would be as closely aligned with the original plans as possible. She said, "This is when you're going to have to trust me." And I did. And I didn't regret it - Jen came through. And our wedding was beautiful and amazing, and NO ONE (except us) knew that the venue switch up had happened.
