ROCKIT discovered the sounds of Techno in 1990 when first hearing the song “The Spice Must Flow” by Eon at METROPOLIS, a local club in Fresno, California. At the time being in a local Punk band, hearing this new sound led to ROCKIT’s passion for electronic dance music and on to his journey into the underground rave scene and club culture. Even though it would be some time before he would fully dis

cover this New World and his new destiny, he was now on the path to new discoveries. On January 1st 1995 he took up the art of Dj’ing and Dj ROCKIT was born. Stepping behind the decks he set out with one mission, to make people feel the groove and party their asses off! From there on he developed his own unique style of Breaks, Tech Funk, House and Techno. Since then he has played at parties ranging from small intimate events to some of the biggest Massives and nightclubs in Northern California, Las Vegas, Idaho, Utah & Florida. He has had the privilege to open for and play alongside some of the Biggest and most talented DJ’s in the world. Since his emergence on the scene, he has held residencies for several production companies in Northern California and for one of the most notable nightclubs in the Sacramento area. In the mid and late 90’s he was one of the main residents for two of the most well-known rave and club production companies in the Nor-Cal area, “SUBSONIC UNDERGROUND” and “FUZ-E” Productions. In 2000, Dj ROCKIT held a two year residency at LIFT, one of the most predominant EDM nights inside the Rage nightclub in Sacramento. He has also held a residency for “STATIC” productions and his own production company known as “THE PHUNKY PEOPLE PROJECT” till 2007. On Sept 5th of 2004, Dj ROCKIT became the one and only winner of the USA Heineken, Club Ice DJ challenge. This contest which was held at ICE in Las Vegas was also filmed for Spike TV’s reality show called “THE CLUB”. He and twelve other DJ’s were picked from out of over 250 DJ’s to participate in the contest to battle for the 2004 Heineken DJ Challenge title and the chance to open at the clubs most packed night alongside World renowned DJ’s Paul Oakenfold and Sandra Collins. Dj Rockit was judged and finally picked out of the final three Dj’s by Paul Oakenfold as the winner of the contest. During the contest, he made short spot appearances on several of the shows episodes with the other contestants. And then was finally featured along with Paul Oakenfold and Sandra Collins on the shows next to last episode as the winner of the DJ challenge where he had the pleasure of opening for Paul and Sandra at ICE. Currently Dj Rockit is a resident for some amazing National and Worldwide production companies. First we have Strategik and Strategik North, which are two notorious crews that are known for their collaboration they do with other crews and their own renegade parties in Northern California. A global Artist Network known for their small, but amazing events worldwide and the talent they bring. Here he will be representing California, USA with his style of Breaks, Tech Funk, House and Techno that he is known for. He is part of the National movement and crew, the 1200 Hustle and their Northern California chapter. They are spreading the 1200 Hustle funk across the nation with their dj’s all over the United states. He also is a representing Dj for two of the funkiest and on fire labels today, Theoryon records and Funky Flavor music. Both these labels have some of the most amazing Dj’s and producers around. He is a part of the Smoke Break Crew that is from San Francisco, USA to Melbourne, Australia and beyond. They are a renowned Dj crew that is known for their shows on NSB Radio. And he has now become a resident for Fraktured SF. They are part of the Fraktured Nation family which is one of the largest breakbeat crews in the US who are growing larger as we speak with their vibes and amazing Dj’s. He produces, Dj's and runs a show called “DOWN RIGHT DIRTY” with his wife ORKID that airs every Sunday from 2pm - 5pm PST. Well this old man is back at it again and I am throwing down with the Phreak Recordings fam for another day of amazing music as they present “THE DROP! A WEEKLY JOINT!”

Well I should say, YOOOOO JAAKERS!
(Still working on what to call those who follow those who follow my alter ego)

Soooo coming up this weekend I will be doing a few things for you to check out.
First off on the evening of the 18th I am playing as part of a four day raid train that is raising money to help A-Jacked in her fight against cervical cancer and to help bring awareness to cervical cancer and the women who are fighting it.

Here is a message from the organizer about the event:
"When you meet a truly genuine, caring soul, they show you the good in this world. One of these remarkable souls is fighting like a girl to beat cervical cancer. A massive collection of amazing twitch artists presented by Jennifer Adrenacrone Ellis are joining together to help our friend and advocate, Ajacked Aimée Jackins, in her fight. Join 5 collectives and over 25 artists December 16 - 19, 2022 for a fundraiser raid train. Any support, in any way, is always appreciated."

So I hope you can tune in at some point for this event all weekend long, and I truly hope to see you during my set 10 pm pst / 11 pm mst / 1 am est.

Buuuuut that is not all as we will be celebrating my B-day that same day also. So DOWN RIGHT DIRTY will be live starting at 7 pm pst / 8 pm mst / 10 pm est for that celebration & I will have my other half with me, the lovey & amazing SALLY! She is going to be dropping some tunes with me as we build up to when the raid train from Fight Like a Girl comes through. And we plan on making it a 4 hr celebration for which we will end with helping out a great cause. And we are gonna get all sorts of Rave four on the floor stompy with it with a whole lot of Techno & house, with a dash of breaks sprinkled in thier too.

Every now and then there is a mix that a Dj does that is just so so dang good and amazing it blows your mind! And let me tell you, this mix right here by the one & only DJ kev/null from the legendary Space Cowboys is one of those mixes!.
This is a roller-coaster of amazing music with so much emoting and energy! I have not enjoyed a mix like this in quite some time, but man o man am I so happy I checked it out. And I invite you to check it out too. I really personally think that Kevin killed it on this one. I have been playing more video games than music lately. Been a great outlet for me since after almost 28 years of Dj'ing my passion for music is fading. I have been just trying to find that spark again & honestly I think I have. In the house that Jack built.
I hope once I reach that Doorway, the warmth of the 4x4 fire brings me back.
