Loyal Wheel fans and the Borough of Tamaqua. In the coming days you will see a sales listing for the restaurant. We have nothing but love for all of you and appreciate your support over the last 3 years (and even longer if you visited to Pottsville.)

The decision to sell Wheel was, of course, a very difficult one. It was a decision made over the course of many sleepless nights. It is a decision that was not taken lightly.

We have had considerable success over the years and I hope a new restaurateur can help to keep Wheel as the asset to the community you know it as.

With that said, we will be keeping the restaurant open until a suitable buyer is found. The only change will be that starting next week we will be closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We look forward to continuing to serve you the grilled cheese you’ve enjoyed over the last few years and hope that the tradition will continue into the future.

Thank you for all your continued and future support. If you have any questions you can feel free to message us at any time.

A car crashed into the second floor of a house in Mifflin County (PA) on Sunday evening, according to Junction Fire Company's Facebook.

The rescue company arrived on the scene in Decatur Township within minutes. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle lodged into the house and the driver safely out of the vehicle.

Crew members helped the homeowners put a tarp on the hole to protect the house from upcoming storms, according to the post.

The post did not mention any serious injuries to the driver or the homeowners.

‼️‼️ UPDATE: ADOPTED ‼️‼️

Poor Tank💔

This sweet 3 month old puppy was handed off as "free", owned for less than 24 hours, and then surrendered to the big scary shelter. This is how we found him this morning 😭

Don't worry little guy, we got you.

Puppies are a lot of work. Please be mindful of the HUGE responsibility of bringing a new puppy home. They chew, they are not housebroken, they are high energy, they need lots of training, and they require lots of patience.

Puppies are not for everyone... and that's ok. Please do your research beforehand and ensure that you and your household are up for the puppy phase and the typical breed characteristics. Not up for the puppy challenge? You do not need to raise a dog from puppy to adulthood, in order for it to transition successfully in the home. Often times, adopting an adult dog requires less training. Check out our adult dogs here: https://www.pspca.org/adoptdogs

Tank, and the rest of his shelter friends, are keeping their fingers crossed that today is their lucky day. We are open today 2-6pm.

When operating a personal watercraft (PWC) don’t cut in front of someone else and remember when you let off the throttle you lose all steering capability. Drive responsibly, keep a constant lookout for other boaters, and wear a USCG-approved life jacket for PWC use.
