Happy Cat Fitness here 😺 Just starting my dedicated Hyrox training. I have a good strength base, but I have not done any running in almost a year, just trail hiking. I programmed this work out for myself today and it crushed me! 🫩🔥

There are plenty of options for modifications. You can use light dumbbells or just bodyweight, reduce distances or work for time instead of distance.

Perform a dynamic 8-10 minute warm up. Try the exercises and weights prior to starting the workout.

I am an ACSM personal trainer and I have been coaching group fitness classes for over 15 years. Check with your doctor before starting any training program and start conservatively!

Becoming more of a hiker myself after 40 years of running, I am disappointed many trail races do not seem to encourage hiking. As an event director I realize it takes extra volunteer support, but I prefer creating a more inclusive environment. Just my take!

Ok the journey begins… ☯️ I am a chill, easy-going trail runner, trail event director & coach, but I like to challenge myself! I’ll be following up with videos and my step-by-step training, learning and executing. I do currently strength train, but I’ve swapped my running for hiking… Guess I’ll have to start running again 💪🏻🏃‍♀️‍➡️ Here we go! 😬🤪😳 Happy Cat Fitness
