AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT for REDLINE PERFORMING ARTS production of CHICAGO in LOUISVILLE

We’re thrilled to announce auditions for Chicago the Musical, a special season extra community theatre production at Redline Performing Arts! If you’ve been waiting to step into the spotlight, this is your chance to bring the jazz, drama, and timeless charm of Chicago to life.

Here’s what you need to know:

🎭 Audition Details:

Date: Sunday, February 2, 2025
Location: TBD (details will be provided after signing up)
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older
This is a non-paying, community theatre production

📅 Production Schedule:

Rehearsals Begin: Late February 2025
Performances: April 4–13, 2025 at The Mex
The process will be fast-paced (6 weeks total), so it’s crucial to review your availability before auditioning.

💃 What to Expect:

Chicago is a dance-heavy musical. Be prepared to showcase your singing and dance skills at auditions! While honoring the original production, we’re incorporating new elements, including different dance styles and innovative movement.

✨ Casting Notes:

Understudies will be cast for principal roles and are expected to perform at least once. Understudies will also be part of the ensemble.
