Literally, it felt as the stars shined brighter that night, in those moments of joy!

And hello summer! Officially! Well,... definitely, somewhere on this planet, because the weather so far in the UK is nowhere near summer, and according to the news this will be the wettest summer in a decade!

Which brings up a hot topic! PLAN B!!! Are you aware of what is that?
Indoors and A Destination Wedding!

As you can never predict the weather, and you never know how is going to turn out, if you have an outdoor wedding, is good to hire a venue that will be able to accommodate the party indoors, whether that is due to rain, heavy winds, or sometimes extensive heat! Especially challenging it can be for you as a couple because you are up from early morning running around and that can weaken your system!
POINTERS! Stay always hydrated and small bytes can help you maintain your energy throughout the day!

INQUIRIES, CONTRACTS, or, just a "GENERAL" question!(?)
There is no such thing as a "general" question when it comes to wedding planning!
Contracts exist for a reason, and inquiries are not just simple questions; they are part of a formal, time-consuming process.

First of all, you as a couple are unique. Your love story, your guests, and your preferences for the wedding day are unlike anyone else's. Therefore, a generic question cannot adequately address the needs of your special day.

Inquiries involve extensive communication, with countless emails and coordination on all sides. When you ask a "simple question," as wedding planners, we don't just ask around. We consult professionals to provide quotes, and for that, we need to be specific. Accurate quotes reflect the specific needs of your wedding day, ensuring the budget aligns perfectly with your vision. None of us wants any surprises!

That's where contracts come into play. A contract with a wedding planner marks the beginning of a relationship and partnership. It provides you with the exclusivity of time and dedicated research, making the process bespoke and personalized. Contracts ensure transparency and exclusive focus on your wedding day. With a contract in place, I can give my full attention to your needs, conduct fully customized research, and make adjustments as necessary. If something doesn't work or you don't like it, the contract allows us the flexibility to tailor and refine choices to better suit you. While there may be limitations, they stem from extensive research to find what is most suitable for you and only you.

As you see, a "general question" can create confusion and take time away from you, other couples, and the planning process needed to secure the vendors that truly fit your dream wedding day!

I highly recommend it! 🤓
First of all, I love concrete/cement, or brick, unfinished and sometimes industrial kind of venues. They work magnificently as a blank canvas and most of time are also a great base for any colour palette/combination.

My father was an architect, with whom I spent endless hours in buildings during that state; unfinished, raw, only the core, fully exposed. We used to do site visits, overlooking construction and design and I learned a lot in the process.

Then along with Hospitality, I learned even more about venues and when they are occupied.

If you choose to create a tailored experience of services, I highly recommend including venue scouting. It is one of my favourite processes in event design and one of my greatest skill sets. Depending on the event description (style, theme, guests/attendees number, reason, etc.) and location, I can do research and site visits to ensure that the selected one, fits the requirements of your event's needs.

I was in shock when I heard "NO Wine Allowed"! 🍷 WHY?
A couple of months ago, doing a site visit, I came across something for the first time!

I love me some wine. Given my Hospitality background, I have a knack for selecting and pairing wines for different occasions. Growing up in Greece, an area where local production was in abundance and with the influence of God Dionysos in our mythology, wine appreciation comes naturally to me.

So I was in shock when they told me that NO red wine is allowed. You can have white or sparkling, but no red (or rose).
That's because the building is a Grade I listed building, with an impeccable amount of artwork and detail in the architecture!
Red (or rose) wine, in the case of a spillage, can cause significant damage to the walls and the art, with no means to repair it.

Which is WHY, certain venues, may not allow you to have red or rose wine, at your wedding or in certain areas of the building.
And, this is why you need to review their policies before booking external catering, especially if it's not listed.
Frankly, buildings like that are quite strict with their listed suppliers, so be prepared to compromise, vendor or venue?

Things like these are essential to know and be prepared for. I can present you with the best options, alternatives and the reasoning behind each option as I like transparency.

- Escapism OR Exploration?..
Well, actually, both!

A destination wedding is not for everyone. It is for the wanderlust enthusiasts, the adventure seekers, the explorers, in*******al couples who are looking to perform the wedding at the most convenient location (country), or both depending on the background and what they would like to offer on their special day. Of course, there is the exception of those who occasionally seek something different, and seek destinations as a form of escapism, whether it is to avoid large groups of guests, the norm and traditions of their culture, or simply something spectacular and on budget.

**BEWARE**

Just because it is a destination, doesn't necessarily mean is cheaper! And of course, everything is based on the choice of location and services you wish to include.

What is your ideal location for a destination wedding?

If I had to pick, my top three so far would be Greece, Portugal and Sri Lanka.

Idea - Concept - Design - Aesthetic..
Aesthetics, logistics, timelines, communication, and the list continues!
Putting together all that is needed to create your wedding day, can be a lot and overwhelming!
But even if you are THE multitasking guru, do you think wedding planners are not getting married?
And when they marry, do you think they want to spend their time planning their wedding day? No, they don't! They do hire other planners.

You see the key is communication and clarity. Communicating properly gets the message across, and when your planner/designer has a good understanding of what your personality and character are, that can be translated into the design and the aesthetics of what you conceptualised for the day.

It may not be a Da Vinci painting, but it is as important, because it is your special day!

Stand out!..
Especially when a wedding has a theme, and everyone comes with the same colour palette, wearing a Boutonnière is a nice way to differentiate the Groom and wedding party from the rest of the guests.

A stylish Boutonnière can complete the outfit, and though it may be just the groom, they are often given to the best man and the closest members, friends or family.

The colour can either contrast or complement the outfit; you can go with flowers, dried or fresh, herbs, and some even use succulents, mixed with embellishments or a nice metal pin. The new trend and we will be seeing it more often is wearable flowers on men's suits.

The Elegance! 🦢..
Back in the day, during my first year in the UK as a student then, I went on a hiking adventure with some university friends. While visiting a lake, I encountered a group of swans, and it was then that I discovered an interesting fact: all swans in the UK belong to the Queen.

Although my services extend to areas encompassing Wildlife Sanctuaries, Nature Reserves, and more, it's crucial to emphasize that I am committed to not providing services or endorsing actions that knowingly could have a significant negative impact on the environment and its ecosystem.

"Seating" Plan!? 🪑
Mapping out a seating plan can seem an overwhelming process as the most challenging level of Tetris.

Thinks to look out for when organising a table plan.
- Venue space and table capacity.
- Design and decor of the wedding.
- Number of guests.
- Who's coming, so wait for those RSVP's to come in.
- Groups or line of order if you have long tables.
- Engagement, as you might want to have your guests interact.
- Table decor and guidance, such as signage, name cards, etc.

If those seem a lot to juggle, I am here to help you throughout the process, especially the logistics and visual aspects.
As a planner, I like to use platforms and tools that help me and my couples make this process smooth and stress-free, especially on the day, when it will be essential to navigate not only your guests but also your vendors, who will be there setting up. Hello January, hello 2024!✨🥂🍾..
New month, new year, new resolutions!

What is your resolution for 2024? What are your plans? Which occasions and milestones are you celebrating this year? Have you just said, I do!?

Well, my resolution started off a little early, in the late months of 2023.
Well, 2024 is going to be about long-term investments, core changes, creativity, deeper and meaningful connections, and emphasis on the details and the important things.
In 2024 there is going to be a whole lot of movement, so it's really important to maintain that laser focus.

In the world of events and weddings, rumor has it, it will be busy one, as this will be the year of engagements! 💍

On that note, other things to expect:
- A Retro come-back.
- Emphasis on Colour.
- Priority Re-Set [Laid-Back Lux will be this year's keynote which I am super happy about].
- Dutch Masters–Inspired Florals.
- Tonal-Design Palettes.
- Documentary-style Photography.
- Negative Space
- Ribbons, bows & more champagne towers!
