Such a fun install from D+P’s wedding!

Hanging amaranth has been a favorite of mine this year and was the perfect element for this design. I see this staircase time and time again designed with greenery, so I loved the opportunity to do something different here.

Thank you D+P for the trust! I loved being a part of your day so much.

My take on monochromatic designs:
By focusing on a single color palette, you can create a cohesive atmosphere that truly highlights the beauty of each bloom. Instead of the main focus of the design being a wide range of color, there can be a greater focus on the details of texture and dimension.
This all white design combined the softness of draping with minimal and clean white lines in the table and chair selection, and created dimension and interest with varying sized bud vases of monobloom flowers (Japanese sweet peas - a favorite of mine!) and candles down the length of the reception tables.
This is a look I will continue to crave in my work, but I’ve found is actually really rare in my inquiries. So if you’re a couple or planner planning a monochromatic wedding, reach out! I would love to see what kind of magic we can achieve focusing on a single color.

Ceremony moments at one of my favorite Portland wedding venues.

My two cents on ceremony florals: work with your backdrop, not against it. To me, the concrete ledge structure on Amaterra’s terrace is a huge part of the natural backdrop here. Super thankful to have worked with a collaborative planner and couple on this one who trusted the vision. This is still one of my favorite ceremony installs to date.

Couples (and planners) who inquire with me about 2025 events at Amaterra, ask me about discounted services for this venue. It’s one id my very favorite spots and I’d love to work more there next year!

Film photos from V+K’s late June wedding.

This was such a fun one!
Amazing couple (seriously, you two were so easy breezy to work with). 100 percent locally grown flowers (read that again - 100 percent! Not a single imported stem). Huge bonus that I got to use both of my favorite flowers (phlox and sweet peas) at the same time. An amazing color palette (color blocking forever!). Wonderful vendors. Incredible photography (hire !). Flowered this install with my no. 1 girl (Taylor, words will never be enough to describe my love and appreciation for you, but I think you know!).
I rate this wedding a 10/10 😏

Goodness. As fall arrives and my wedding season winds down (still have four more incredible events I get to be a part of this year though, and I can’t wait!), I find myself reflecting on this year’s events so far.
It’s been an incredible season and I have had so many moments where my emotions run high (in a good way!) and I’m just overwhelmed with gratitude that I get to do this for a living. My clients are all absolutely incredible and from the bottom of my heart, it is always such an honor to be chosen and trusted to execute your floral vision.
Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite images from W+M’s colorful reception back in June.
I will never forget this day, and particularly the feelings I felt after it was all set up. So many thanks to my team, the other vendors, and this wonderful couple.

Bouquets and installs are my two favorite things to design. I’ve had several couples this year who skipped the centerpieces and instead focused their budget on the statements (bouquets and installs!). I’m here for it, always!
While I love a flower-filled wedding, there are definitely table alternatives that can help keep your costs down.
Although I do have a minimum fee for full service weddings, don’t hesitate to reach out if you’re just looking for a ceremony install!
