🚨NEW MUSIC🚨
I recently put together this chill downtempo track for a short film being submitted to a conference in Singapore (Fun-i-ture) in September 2021. To set the scene appropriately, I had Carli McMartin freeform play piano in my studio to produce the piano samples you hear throughout. From there it was developed through an initial focus of the aforementioned bass guitar and slowly layering with my steelstring acoustic (recorded both out of tune and with a missing string) then using some samples and midi to fill it out.

The result is something entirely different from my usual production but something I thoroughly enjoyed creating, especially the organic textures. Enjoy!

It was a true delight to play at Crop Psycles Collective's Bass Station Theme Camp at Rabbits Eat Lettuce 2021. I was so wrapped with how this set turned out and owe a massive thanks to Crop Psycles Collective for their support for making this all happen in a really tough operating environment. This was the first set featuring my own music too so a bit of a milestone. As usual I've posted a full tracklist so you can find the amazing artists / songs featured. Boy oh boy I can't wait to throw down some tasty downtempo delights at the Crop Psycles Presents: The Bass Station Theme Camp V.2 REL to kick start your Saturday afternoon boogie session. At T-minus 1pm, blast off to orbit around a truly melodic world of music that will pull at your heartstrings and remind you of how beautiful life can be. Along the lines of my ISO set "Melodic Droptor" (available to stream on soundcloud) this set is inspired by the legendary set by Jamie Forest at Crop Psycles in 2019.

Thrilled to be sharing my FIRST EVER REMIX for your iso-life. Ukrainian folk quartet dakhabrakha make soulful eerie otherworldly music. Putting one of their original tracks into a DJ set would have been impossible for the style of music I play, but I've had them in my backpocket for years. During a COVID lockdown in my native Melbourne, I decided to focus my energy on producing this remix of their song Oy Ishov Chumak - the opening track from their 2016 album "The Road" . I'm pleased to share this remix with you all and hope that this brings their music to many more ears that would otherwise have missed out.
