If you ask me, how does planning multi-cultural weddings feels like? I’d say is like stepping into multiple worlds of timeless rituals and traditions - and I definitively love connecting to each one of them!

Let me show you a glimpse of what I mean as we go through the protocol timeline of an orthodox Jewish wedding:

Kabbalat Panim - The Receiving of Faces
(Photos 1, 2 & 3)

• The Bride welcomes her female guests, seated on a throne-like chair, while the Groom hosts his male guests on his Chosen’s Tish (Groom’s table)

• The Groom signs the Ketubah (Marriage Contract)

Bedeken - Veiling of the Bride
(Photos 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8)

• The Groom, escorted by his male guests, sees his Bride for the first time and gently lowers the veil over her face

Chuppah - The Canopy
(Photos 9 & 10)

• The symbolic venue for the ceremony, open on all sides, representing the future home of the couple

• The couple stands facing towards Israel’s direction

Yihud - Private Retreat
(no photo)

• A ritual where the couple retreats to a private room to share a moment together, reflecting on their new partnership as husband and wife.

Aren’t you amazed? And we haven’t covered the reception yet.

I can certainly say that the diversity of wedding ceremonies around the world are a testament to the universal celebration of love.

Embracing and connecting with these diverse elements fill my heart with joy and leave a rewarding sense of fulfillment.

✨ Something I truly value, is the trust that couples deposit on my hands. They don’t know me, yet they choose to listen to my words, and to be guided by me. This, it kind of puts some pressure on me, because is not until the wedding day, that they confirm they made the right decision.

It all comes down to that powerful word: T R U S T. We spend months, if not years, creating, designing and sharing all about their dreamy wedding. I become their closest “go to” resource in all wedding related issues, and I hold the responsibility of tracing the best path for them.

So at the end, is not the stunning outcome that we are after (although, its totally gratifying), but the amazing feeling that produces hearing the couples say: “Yash, this is more than we expected”.

And why is that? Well, because that’s the moment where I get to prove them, that they were right to trust me. 🫶

Celebrating Father’s Day 👔 as I share with you the tales of a Bride who had two Dads: Papá Miguel & Papá Papo

I met them during set up time on the wedding day, since the venue was a beach front 🌊 Airbnb, where all of them were staying.

🎩 Papá Papo was very attentive & serviceable, he made sure I made his acquaintance and that if something was needed, he was around to provide it. Of course, everything had already been taken care of by our planning & vendors team ✅, but his willingness to provide, was a lovely gesture of love to her beautiful Rebecca.

🎩 Papá Miguel was very emotional and hyped about the fact that his daughter was about to get married. Hours prior to ceremony, he approached me to ask if he could sing a special song 🎤🎸 to his daughter and her soon to be husband, Fernando, as a surprise at the ceremony. I loved the idea! We quickly coordinated with our DJ , who would provide the sound system, to team up and deliver 💪🏼

Now, here I am, looking back at these pictures, reminiscing about how perfect everything turned out, not only because of an awesome team of wedding pros, but also, because of the unconditional love gestures of two amazing dads 🩵

Imperial tables, their elegance prevails before our eyes. ✨

This tablescape is a vivid representation of one of our loved multicultural couples: Darlene & Miguel 🇵🇷🇸🇻.

Let’s breakdown into what you DO see:

- The drama with uncommonly seen chairs & charger plates (soon to be displayed).

- Brewery inspired details, as our couple are draft beer lovers.

- The bride’s vivid spirit through the florals vibrant colors.

What you DON’T see is:

- The vision board we prepared, at the initial planning phase, to have a clear perspective of the couple’s expectations for their wedding day.

- The design meetings with the floral designers to shape those ideas and bring them to reality.

- The sample table presentation we had with Eclectik Events to choose chairs styles for the different types of tables, napkins color & texture, vases, candles, charger plates, among other table scape elements.

As you can see, behind the beautiful, breathtaking outcome that will amaze your guests, there is a planning process which is essential to the success of a flawless wedding.
