Our Story
The History of Pulimoottil Silks is a long saga of Tradition, Diversification and Innovation. The Beginning of the Journey dates back to 1924 when Sri. Chacko Ouseph founded Pulimoottil Silks, then known as Pulimoottil Silk House, offering Apparels, Grocery and Spices at Market road, Thodupuzha.
In the year 1955, Sri. Ouseph Chacko and Sri. Ouseph John (Sons of Sri. Chacko Ouseph) took the Group a step ahead by establishing an exclusive showroom for Apparels at the heart of Thodupuzha and the place subsequently came to be known as Pulimoottil Junction. This was just the beginning of a glorious tale for Pulimoottil Silks.
1977 saw the rise of Pulimoottil Silks at Carmel Junction, Thodupuzha under the able leadership of Sri. Ouseph Chacko and Sri. Ouseph John. The new showroom with four floors and having an area of 25000 Sq.Ft., established the rise of a leader in the Textile Retail Industry in the State.
Pulimoottil Silks later set foot in Kottayam in the year 1986 with a 3 Floored, 50,000 Sq.Ft. Showroom at K.K. Road, one of the biggest showrooms in Kerala at that time. Pulimoottil Silks had a huge impact on the fashion concepts in Kottayam and created new Benchmarks for textile retail across town. This venture was launched by Sri. Ouseph Chacko and is now managed by Sri. John Jacob and Sri. Stephen Chacko (Sons of Ouseph Chacko).
Pulimoottil Silks, having established itself as the market leader, continued to move ahead with a commitment of quality and innovation, making them a known name for apparels in Kerala. Weaving new trends and setting new standards the Glorious Journey resumed.
In the year 2007, Sri.Abraham Chacko introduced Pulimoottil Silks to Thrissur, with a Showroom having an Area of 50,000 Sq.Ft. in Five Floors under the leadership of his father Sri.Ouseph Chacko. This venture initiated new Breakthroughs for the ever evolving brand as it entered innovative spheres with the expertise it possessed.
In 2008, Sri. Rojar John and Sri. Roy John shifted the Carmel Road Showroom to a Brand New Showroom with an area of 60,000 Sq.Ft. in a total of Three Floors at Muvattupuzha Road, Thodupuza under the leadership of their father Sri. Ouseph John. Today, Pulimoottil silks moves ahead by introducing new trends and clothing concepts across Kerala. Apart from the strong commitment, what makes Pulimoottil Silks even more special is an assurance of Quality. A host of surprises is just ready to unfold as Pulimoottil silks will be launching its new 25,000 Sq.Ft. area exclusive Saree Showroom at K.K. Road, Kottayam soon. In 2015, Pulimoottil Silks opened their 4th Showroom at Residency Road, Chinnakada, Kollam. The location being the prime spot in the upmarket shopping area in Kollam, has provided them a huge advantage over their immediate competitors, The Showroom boasts of having an Area of 60,000 Sq.Ft. Spread over 6 Floors, the facility has ample car parking facilities too. Sri.Stephen Chacko, under the leadership of his father Sri.Ouseph Chacko is the mastermind behind this venture.
Pulimoottil Silks opened their 5th Showroom in Kerala at Thiruvalla during Onam 2018. Pulimoottil Silks will also be unveiling a new showroom at Calicut soon. Stay tuned!
