RAFFLE ANNOUNCEMENT
We are excited to announce our raffle which will be taking place at A Fine Fair this Sunday 🥳
We will have over 50 amazing prizes on offer which have very kindly be donated by the vendors and local businesses. The tickets are £3 per strip or £5 for two. 💜
There will also be a luxurious hamper available which is worth £350. It will include some amazing goodies which has very generously been donated by local businesses. Tickets for our hamper are £5 per strip. 🤍
So if you are interested in entering, come along to A Fine Fair this Sunday from 11AM until 4PM at The Barn At Barra Castle 🫶🏻

Out and about in Aberdeenshire this weekend?
‘A Fine Fair’ takes place at The Barn at Barra Castle in Inverurie from 11am until 4pm on Sunday 14th April.
The event aims to showcase over 40 of the North-East’s finest food producers and craft makers, with additional calligraphy and charcuterie workshops available to book, and a not-to-be-missed raffle!
Tickets are available online and on the door. Veterans and under 12s go free.

On the 8th of March, Jo and Lexy were kindly invited to Station House Media Unit (SHMU FM) to promote A Fine Fair, alongside Michael from Erskine Veteran's Charity, on their 'So Why Don't You' show which updates listeners on third sector work across the North East 📻💜 The show was hosted by Mike on the Mic and Lady Ghada 🫶🏼

CHARCUTERIE WORKSHOP
There is only 1 spot left at our Charcuterie Worksop hosted by Platter which will be taking place at A Fine Fair on Sunday, 14th April from 2:30PM until 4PM 💜😆 If you are a pair please do still get in touch and we will see what we can do!
Learn how to pick the best produce and be taught by a Platter expert. Throughout the workshop you will be given the chance to learn various skills, including cutting and layering techniques, as well as being guided through a simple step-by-step process 🤍
This workshop is perfect for charcuterie lovers, couples, and friends. It would also make the perfect gift experience.
What’s included:
- All materials which are required for the workshop.
- Free entry to a Fine Fair Market 🎟️
- Unlimited hot and soft drinks throughout the workshop.

Meet our Finance, Procurement and Venue Liaison Lead… Jo💛
Jo, 22, is a Stage 4 Events Management student.
She is very much a foodie and loves trying new cuisines when travelling abroad or trying out new restaurants. Her ideal weekend would involve either being curled up in her oodie with a cheese board🧀 and glass of white wine🍾 or going for cocktails🍸with friends and family and watching the rugby🏉
Jo is always up for a challenge - whether it be axe throwing🪓, zip lining or even sheep sheering!🐑

Meet our Marketing, PR, and Communications Lead…Anna 🤍
Anna, 21, is a Stage 4 Events Management student. She loves to go on walks along the beach 🌊 especially her dog Toby 🐶, she also enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Anna enjoys doing a bit of baking from time to time 🍰, visiting and exploring new places 🗺️, and spending time with her cat Lola 🐈

Maryam, 21, is a Stage 4 Events Management student. Although guilty of rewarding herself with a sweet treat every Friday night 🍫, she loves to try out new baking recipes for friends and family 🍰
Maryam enjoys going to the cinema 🎬, reading her Kindle 📖, going for scenic walks 🌻 and of course taste-testing desserts at every possible opportunity.

Meet our Customer Experience, Programming, Risk and Logistics Lead... Lexy 🩵
Lexy, 26, is Stage 4 Events Management student. Although guilty of ordering meal kits to cook fancy meals, does enjoy cooking herself too 🥘 She loves anything creative and loooves a makers market, having been to lots of them locally and further afield 🎨
She enjoys road tripping with her dog child, Poppy 🐶 paddleboarding 🏄♀️, yoga 🧘♀️, almost any herbal tea to exist 🍵, a good walk and is a massive foodie.

VOLUNTEERS
Fancy helping out? We need a few volunteers to help A Fine Fair run smoothly! 😁
If you’re local or have ties to Erskine Veterans Charity, and have a few hours to spare, we would love to hear from you. 💜
Roles include:
- Refreshments stall ☕️🥤
- Fundraising stall (charity merch and raffle)
- Possibly wearing the mascot costume 💜
- Car park attendant 🚙
- General helpers
Some roles require you being on your feet for a few hours (e.g. car park attendant). No past experience is needed but always helps! As long as you’re happy chatting to our guests and donate a few hours of your time, that’s all we need from you 😊
We will pay travel expenses (fuel, bus fares etc.) and provide a lunch allowance, as well as unlimited drinks and snacks on the day. We are also happy to provide verification of volunteering hours should you need it. A full brief will also be given before the event.
Timings are around 09:30-17:00 but this is TBC.

Week in the life with us💜
Have you been wondering what we have been up to recently while organising our charity event? Spend a week in the life with us to find out more….. We started off by visiting our charity sponsor down in Glasgow, where we were given a tour around the Erksine Veterans Village and we were able to learn and see all of the amazing facilities and activities that are offered to the veterans 💜 The next day we all met at RGU to take charity photos with the rest of our year group and we had a group meeting 😁 We then finished off the week by raising money for our event and Erskine at our third AFC bucket collection 💜
