A couple weeks ago I got to play at the legendary concert venue Stubbs ON THE OUTDOORS STAGE for a private event for F1 that I’m finally sharing about because it was just too epic not to have its own moment 🥹

Had a blast bringing my best friend to DJ with me going b2b playing some wild tunes for folks from all over the world… thank you to the amazing for this opportunity 🥰

Okay I’m freaking out because like aren’t these photos insane?! Last Saturday night was one of the most magical nights I’ve dj’d in my life… bubbles, streamers, confetti… so many smiles and just letting go to some 00s throwbacks (+ remixes) on the dance-floor 💕

I got to bring my best best friend on stage to play 🎹 over my set (we studied jazz piano in college together) and she crushed it. I saw strangers meet and then make out as the night passed. I saw friends of mine meet other friends of mine. I saw people be themselves, judgment free zone 🫶🏼

Barbie night was everything and more. Thank y’all for bringing it all. Thanks to the team. Thanks to for these insane photos. Thanks to my dog for dealing with my chaos leading up to this epic night. 🌷🛼🎀

I can’t believe I’m saying this… I’m extremely honored to represent my music industry creators and professional peers at the as one of the youngest newly elected Governors on the Texas Chapter Board!!!

Representing the Academy means advocating, supporting, serving, and celebrating the many voices that make up our diverse creative community year-round, and I look forward to joining leaders dedicated to driving music forward.

Those of you know me as a DJ, but I have been part of the Texas music scene since 2010 studying music composition and jazz piano at UT.

Last Friday night was one of the best nights of my career. When I first started DJing back in 2016, ’s music was some of the first music I added to my DJ library… flash forward and here I am having the time of my life getting to play after them (wasn’t nervous at all 😅) with my own horn trio to bring that extra funk 🪩

This last week was one of the most amazing and challenging weeks of my life… I went from DJing a beautiful country wedding to DJing Nascar weekend to Gucci to Superstition’s ABBA night to the CMTs Music Awards weekend… like whaaaa!!! And yes I haven’t left my bed since Monday 😂

I am so thrilled and honored to say that I am running for a Governor seat on the Recording Academy Texas Chapter Board.

Ever since I joined the Texas Chapter’s Grammy U program in 2011, I’ve always been interested in ways I can contribute as a younger member who’s an advocate for music education, especially within my Texas community, and leading other younger musicians to become voting members of the Academy.

I have had the privilege of serving as an active member with the Recording Academy’s Texas Chapter Education committee for 6 years and counting, and have been lucky to be a 4-time featured speaker for Grammy Career Day. I also have recently joined the Songwriter and Composer committee this year as well and have gotten to work with so many incredible music professionals to help make change within the music industry.

Voting is open until March 30, so if you’re a Grammy member I’d love to be considered.

Woahhh soooo I was featured on the cover of amongst 12 other badass women who have and are still making Austin’s music scene what it is 🥹 and I had a little feature in the article as well, I’m so honored… like hello let’s go 2023! This photo shoot was so fun to be around all these incredible womxn and to finally meet some of them in person (as we’re all usually gigging) ✨

“It just hit me,” Shankman says as the women meander about, “This is history!” With luck (and there’s no reason to believe otherwise), more history will be made in the future. ❤️

Finally taking a second to step back and reflect on 2022. Holy s**t. 2022, was all about growth and survival (esp since the year started with another covid scare). I DJ’d all kinds of events from conferences to COTA to clubs to virtual to wellness to engagements to weddings and life celebrations — playing for crowds of 10 to 50,000 and crowds from all over the world!! I opened and closed for artists I admire, did way more high-profile client gigs, and played my first music festival.

I did 116 gigs and 20 of those were weddings (less than the 247 I did in 2019, and more than the 90 I did in 2021, we’re growing back babyyy) — I witnessed so much love this year and I couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of this city and beyond, my family, friends and my dog :)

I hired 32 people: singers, dancers, musicians, DJs, sound techs, assistants, producers, florists.

I spoke at SXSW with The Recording Academy, Headspace, and Berklee College of Music. Spoke at Grammy Career Day. Wrote more music this year. Became an Aunt. Made floral arrangements for Patti Smith. I travelled more for gigs. Started improv and met new friends who’ve become family to me. I hiked the Grand Canyon. I turned 30. I have more crazy stories to tell. I went through hard mental health moments. I collaborated with INCREDIBLE people. Hosted open mics with a new good friend. I moved. But most of all, I got to bring joy to people through music.

I know some of y’all already know, but I’m finally officially sharing that I’ve been featured in ’s “The Movers and Shakers” issue on “Ones to Watch” 🥹

I’m so incredibly touched by this and honored to be amongst so many amazing people in this issue. And it’s also really cool because back when I was first starting my career, I actually DJ’d for one of Tribeza’s events, and here a few years later I’m featured in their magazine! Crazy! Seriously so grateful to this community and everyone who has and continues to support me in this wild journey ✨
