Teach use of ukulele, basic chords, common timing signatures, notes, how to read musical notation, describe circle of fifths. Will learn and play various types of songs. Student must have their own ukulele and tuner.

Greetings Fellow Ukulalians!

Below you’ll find the song list for next week’s jam, along with links to the Beach Ukulele IRB and Dunedin Ukes on-line songbooks that we use.

I’m also including the most up-to-date version of my own songbook, with a couple of new Bruno Mars songs included (see attachment below, and thanks to Michelle for her help with The Lazy Song). I’m also trying to include video links for new/unfamiliar songs for your enjoyment and as a learning aid, so be sure to check them out.

As usual, we’ll play through the list, then open it up for requests. If you have a song you’d like me to include, please email me asap so I can have it ready for Tuesday. And if you’d like to bring a new song to teach us that would be great – always happy to learn new material!

We meet at the Beach Art Center, 1515 Bay Palm Blvd., Indian Rocks Beach, on Tuesdays from 5pm-7pm, https://www.beachartcenter.org/ All skill levels are welcome. We display songs and chords on a large T.V. screen, and also have access to wifi so you can use your own personal device, if that’s easier for you. There is a $5 per-jam session fee, and all of it goes to the Center to support their many wonderful programs.
