Today’s beautiful dahlia haul 😍 I’m getting fussier the more I dry 🫣 these big blooms are drying with varying degrees of success and the pompom varieties are still a firm fave. Loving the experimenting though and next year I’ll know which tubers to plant 🌸
It’s been busy busy here with the life work balance going off kilter! My kids are only kids once though so forgive me for being quiet…

So excited to see how these dry! They’re a member of the Proteus family so a little bit exotic compared to the homegrown blooms but who doesn’t love a bit of variation?!

Such a satisfying feeling to be cutting my own stock! I do use and will continue to use local growers and suppliers because supporting those people is important too. However, the joy and satisfaction of cutting flowers that I’ve grown from my seed is just incredible. Sow, grow, cut & dry - sustainable as it gets!
Thanks to my wonderful who provided lots of seeds, gave up her raised beds and her time to support me on this journey. There’s so much more to come!

What a beautiful day! This incredible and sizeable dahlia is almost ready to be harvested 🙌 can’t wait to see how it dries!
This is ‘Muchacha’ which I grew in a trug and its first bloom has blown me away! Promising a perfect balance of mauves I couldn’t be happier with it - it’s summer in a flower head!

SCHOOL’S OUT FOR SUMMER 🎶
Here are a couple of mini everlasting wreaths that I made for the end of term. They were so well received 💖The perks of dried flowers - no need to water, no upkeep! Ready to hang and admire 💜
The juggle of work/life balance has begun and I’ll always put family first. Thankfully my boys are more independent now and possibly even helpful 🤞
Everything is growing well, lots of flowers to be cut and dried. The next workshops are being planned so it’s all go!

Everlasting Wreath Workshops are coming to Mattishall! 💐
I’m looking for small groups of up to 6 people who’d love to spend a couple of hours being creative in a relaxed, friendly environment.
If you’d like to come along and make your own dried flower wreath then this is the workshop for you. I’m working towards sustainable floristry; this means the majority of my flowers and foliage is grown, cut & dried by me and everything else is sourced locally from independent growers.
For just £45 pp, the workshop lasts approximately 2 hours and you’ll be offered tea, coffee, homemade savoury & sweet treats.
All of this held within the village at the Church Rooms - great facilities and parking!
I’ll need to confirm dates with the location before official booking can go ahead. If you’re interested please pop a quick comment below and I’ll be in touch 💝
