Thank you to Columbia Museum of Art for having us at last night's Retooled Reception! We had too much fun creating a centerpiece highlighting the new exhibition:

Pull-a-Part: Automotive coil springs, a spare tire wheel and exhaust pipes take on new life as the unexpected vessels for a sculptural floral arrangement. Originally intended to provide suspension, support and performance in functioning automobiles, these devices serve new purpose in contrast to their intended manufacturing birth. The once suggestive muscle-power personality stripped of original function encourages the viewer to appreciate the reimagined beauty of these objects as artistic expression.
