It's crucial to ask for several full, real wedding galleries in a similar venue as yours, not just styled shoots in perfect conditions. The warm walls of the Spanish monastery shown here is going to look much more warmer than a modern venue with concrete walls. Make sure you like how they handle situation similar to your wedding. It's important to ask Photographer for samples of weddings similar to yours and not just what they hand picked to show on their website. A couple times per year, couples call me after going with someone else, to redo their portraits for similar reasons. In Florida, weather changes fast—so check how photographers handle varied lighting.

I did it for her 🥺💕 As a kid, I always dressed up as an artist on career day. When I started photography classes in tenth grade, through high school, junior college, art school then university, I only dreamed of having that be my job but weddings were the furthest thing from my mind. Honestly I studied photography for all those years so I could be in my happy place, the dark room. I thought I would be a William Eggleston traveling the country photographing small towns. I never even dreamt of getting married. When portrait clients starting asking me to shoot their weddings, I agreed but only after vehemently telling them that it was not my thing and I didn’t have a lot of experience in them. They trusted me and after 16 years, I have come such a long way in learning the ins and outs of weddings. Johnny and I are so grateful to them for showing us this path.
