This time tomorrow I will already be in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. It will be a strange experience to be there without Benjamin Aillery.

There was only one year I was there without my pap, and that was when he had a terrible accident in Paris that almost killed him. It was during my second Amsterdam Dance Event and we had planned an event at the Amsterdam Coc. Manny Ward came to dj with me at that party which was so much fun but still Benjamin was missed.

This trip will be fun but different. I look forward to seeing )and the support of) my Amsterdam friends, especially Max Del Principe, Steve Malenka, Howie Getman, Samantha Titus, Marc Alvares, Pierre Mollet, Monika Stepak, Parcival Berkouwer, Martijn Sinkeler, the whole The Web Amsterdam crew, and of course the GDE crew coming from Israel, England, Germany, and across all of America.

For thirteen years the close knit team that Dj Benjamin (Benjamin Aillery) and EPM (Elliott Matos) GDE Founders are creating, programming and presenting are taking Amsterdam Dance Event by storm. The progressively minded conceptual events under the GDE umbrella every year during the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) has led us to start a new chapter with a brand new music label. Ready to go for a musical journey, beyond the boundaries and to discover mindful artists, where love is love and where we are standing together for inclusivity and diversity. Creating releases and music for dance floors; a safe place where we can all be who we want to be, where our difference are our greatest qualities and where creativity is defined by our differences. Together we can make a difference, Music is receptive to a wide variety of ideas, arguments, and information. Its what make music change and evolve. Amsterdam Dance Event, the world biggest electronic music gathering has a strong focus on the future of music and have a strong believe and trust in GDE. We believe a big part of the reality of tomorrow is imagined by artists, innovators, visionaries and creators of all kinds; GDE music label will focus on creating unique releases, remixes and opportunities for possible collaboration between artists from all over the world.

Women of House (WOH) is back harder and fiercer and penetrating where few dare to tread. An international line up of all-female DJ’s is the hallmark of the event, and now in its 8th year the ladies are here to make you pay attention. This is a celebration of house music, in the only way ADE does things, loud and in your face but also an acknowledgment of talent, of the female variety.
WOH has swollen in size and participation since 2015, but it’s no surprise that women are still only woefully represented at many of the major global events in terms of headlines, plays and recognition. Something’s got to change, and WOH has been redressing the imbalance with the force of the ADE brand behind it, changing the trajectory, the mind-set and the landscape of gender inequality embedded in the music industry and the scene.
The vision comes from the creators of WOH, Benjamin Aillery and Elliott Matos, together Dj Benjamin Evenementen & EPM Productions (EPM), whose aim is twofold; to continue to showcase female artists, and in doing so, bring about social awareness and ultimately a permanence of change to the inequality in the scene. The collaboration with one of the world’s biggest music events means that true global change is on the precipice.

WOH is an event, a movement in fact, produced by women for women. EPM & Dj Benjamin Evenementen has assembled a collective of industry and lay women, led by, First Lady (Khris Hutchinson) whose track record speaks for itself, to curate the international line up, and for one week in October 2022 each artist will fly in from wherever they are on the globe with one specific goal, to slap us around with their house beats, taking us on their musical journey, and guess what..? If it hasn’t been said loud enough already, they’re all female.
