In September, I was invited by Rita Mitchell of the USM Small Business Development Center to capture the Pine Belt Young Professionals luncheon put on by the Area Development Partnership in Hattiesburg at the Woodall Center. The meal was catered by Seasoned with Love.

Rita presented her success stories from utilizing the free government provided Small Business resource. She brought a few attendees that she has helped start successful businesses, including Christy Amay from Amay Jewelry Designs and Jewelry Repair. She also is the queen of pop culture and gave out gifts to those who answered her business-current news related questions. Pine Belt Women's Expo is continuing its 11th event at the Lake Terrace Convention Center, August 12th at 10am-3pm.

I've had the honor of capturing this huge networking event for the past few events and every time I am blown away by the amount of growing local business owners, nonprofits, and corporations that support women and families! The photo below shows how many exhibitors showed up in 2022. When the doors open, there are thousands of attendees waiting to come through the venue. The grab bags at the front door are filled with special deals and promotional materials from vendors, plus you could be entered to win a neat prize.

Emerge Events owner and Women's Expo organizer, Jennifer Clark, always makes sure she takes great care of even the tiniest details. There are demonstrations, live music performers, and even seminars. Each booth has their own giveaways, special discounts, and offers made especially for the attendees. Last year, the courtyard behind the convention center had food trucks! It was super nice to be able to enjoy lunch by the fountains on such a beautiful property.

Please come to the 11th Annual Pine Belt Women's Expo as a vendor or as an attendee! This event grows every year, and it is so wonderful to see the businesses in the community come together to showcase what they have to offer.
