GOOD NEWS UPDATE: Michigan’s SB 106 passed the senate and is moving to the house. Stay tuned. Your voice will be needed again.

LAST CHANCE ACTION ALERT: Tomorrow, Tuesday, June 24, we expect a full senate vote on SB 106. Contact your state senator TODAY and ask them to please vote YES on SB 106.

Senate Bill 106 will create Michigan's first pet-friendly license plate to help fund spay/neuter initiatives and training programs for animal welfare organizations across the state.

You can send an email, then follow up with a phone call. Don't feel intimidated, you will most likely leave a message or speak with a staffer.

Remind your senator that the privately raised funds from the license plate will support spay/neuter programs and that taxpayer funds are NOT being used in any way.

Doors open in less than hour! Come check out day two of the 2nd Annual UP Pet Festival at the UP State Fairgrounds at the Ruth Butler Building!
$5.00 entrance fee; under 12 are free! Pets welcome with rabies certificate and waiver available at the door.

Wowza, over 32 dog breeds and 2 cat breeds will be in attendance for the “Meet the Breed” presentations throughout the festival weekend! 🤩 Check out the event schedule to be sure not to miss learning about and seeing your favorite breeds in person!
