Our Story

We are Corkscrew Racing...offering fun running events at vineyards, cideries and breweries in central Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. Our philosophy is simple...create running events at beautiful places paired with delectable Virginia spirits, and a real post-race party with great music & food.

Corkscrew Racing was started in 2014 by Dwayne and Robyn Keenan Jones. They met in 2010 at the Flying Pirate Half Marathon when Robyn was the Event Coordinator for the Flying Pirate and Dwayne was an avid runner. They were married a few years later and together, they have over 20+ years' experience in running event management. Their goal is to make every race a fun event for friends, couples, groups and families. In addition, they have groomed their four children to be our future race directors!
