This Sunday! The @baroque_betty Quartet and @eric_plays_music take the Hybrid Stage and serenade the evening.
Betty is a self taught vocalist and seasoned performance artist hailing from Kalispell, Montana and writes the entirety of her song repertoire. Daughter of Montana’s Poet Laureate 2017-2018, Lowell Jaeger, she is naturally groomed to be the captivating vocalist and songwriter she has become. Her own lyrics are replete with animal and nature imagery, but it’s a fairy tale more in the fashion of Grimm than Disney, with minimalistic guitar styling and soaring string-laden melodies to accompany them. She also graces stages across the Pacific Northwest as a burlesque performer, and produces The Wax Poetry Revue burlesque and variety show.

Born in New York City, Eric Alterman has at times been a cellist, a guitarist, a traveler, a composer, and a songwriter. His songwriting project, begun in 2023, explores themes of love, loss, transformation, and existence, through poetic imagery and storytelling. He lives in Portland, OR.

Filthy Rich & The Gold Diggers
Filthy Rich and The Gold Diggers (FRGD) is an incarnate of the days of jams and live music at Tracktown Records in the Whiteaker. Their songs, written as artful and imaginative suites are reminiscent of Pink Floyd, with soaring Portishead-esque vocals by none other than Eugene’s folk royalty Baroque Betty, Jesse Ferreira of Medium Troy, and Joe X. Jiang of The Slants. The band had been on a long hiatus for a number of years, but is now ready to step out onto Eugene’s stages and share their music once more.

Driven by pulsating rhythms and adorned with rich, emotive vocals, ianto intertwines latino melodies with heavier guitar riffs and dynamic song structures. Weaving together the finest elements of traditional Ranchero music, rockabilly, and ska, ianto is distinctly original and captivating.

This Friday! We're very excited to be hosting Dadweed and Ian George for the evening.
Dadweed is a bluegrass trio based out of Portland, OR. Reimagining pickin’ and thumpin’ by blending elements of jazz/folk/pop/R&B within a traditional bluegrass lens, their sets explore a wide variety of styles and dynamics, with a focus on improvisation. Showcasing three-part vocal harmonies and virtuosic instrumentation, dadweed strives to redefine what’s possible in bluegrass. The acoustic trio toured throughout OR and WA in 2024 appearing at festivals, venues, and private events. dadweed released their first self-titled EP in Summer 2024 and will continue to release new singles throughout 2025.
Ian George:
Ian George along with his gorgeous band of talented handsome young men (percussion, electric guitar, bass) deliver the sort of concert you’ll likely dance, sway, sing, laugh and maybe even cry(!) to. The live performance is an experimental and ferocious ride teeming with whimsicality, clever arrangements - interrupted by triumphant tangents - and outlandish solos grounded by George’s gauzy voice and by the simple strength of a good song. Charming Disaster + Strange & The Familiars + Shane Brown Trio
Brooklyn-based musical duo Charming Disaster was formed in 2012 by Ellia Bisker and Jeff Morris. Inspired by the gothic humor of Edward Gorey and Tim Burton, the murder ballads of the Americana tradition, and the dramatic flair of the cabaret, they write playfully macabre songs that tell stories about death, crime, myth, magic, folklore, science, and the occult. In their theatrical live performances, they combine vocal harmonies and clever lyrics with ukulele, guitar, and virtuosic foot percussion. Charming Disaster’s music has been featured on the podcast Welcome to Night Vale;, they have opened for legendary cello-rock ensemble Rasputina, goth icon Voltaire, and punk cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls; and their theatrical, entertaining live performances have captivated audiences across the United States. On October 27th, 2024, The Hybrid Gallery welcomes RIVVRS
Through compelling songs and charismatic performances, singer- songwriter RIVVRS radiates an endearing and optimistic vision; his music connects the authenticity of Folk & Americana with the accessibility of pop.
His debut single “I Will Follow You” reached #3 on the iTunes Charts in 2016, leading to support slots with artists such as Jewel, Snow Patrol and Nathaniel Rateliff, in addition to a series of successful US Headline tours and a main stage performance at Bottlerock Music Festival in Napa.
His songs have since garnered more than 100 million streams and 100+ features across TV & Film (including shows Suits, Lucifer, Bates Motel, anda National Ad Campaign for Reebok). In 2019, RIVVRS left the city lights of Los Angeles for a simple life in the countryside of the Foothills, where he now resides with his wife and animals on a 5-acre homestead.
With his 5th Album, “Sunlight of the Spirit”, RIVVRS returns to his Americana roots with a compilation of raw and vulnerable songs about the struggles that come with addiction, recovery, and spiritual discovery.

Duff Thompson
Duff Thompson is a songwriter, musician, and producer whose music is a swampy blend of folk, pop, and garage rock. As a songwriter, he has a rare ability to distill emotional complexity into simple, sincere songs that instantly hit the listener on a visceral level. As a producer, he draws from influences that span across decades and genres, merging them into a cohesive and organic sound recognizable as his own.
Steph Green
Steph Green's music is for those who fancy the art of songwriting, depicting a lonely world illuminated by strangeness and beauty. Her sophomore album, Lore, is a series of vignettes that immerse the listener in dreams and nightmares of the West. It's a world where the natural and supernatural collide, wailing spirits wander lost highways, and shapeshifting starling murmurations soar overhead of restless loners. Green produced and recorded Lore at home on a borrowed Tascam MS-16, and the collection of tales are enveloped by a distinctive, otherworldly sound, with weeping steel guitar, washy organ, and ghostly vocal layering reverberating from a distant dimension. Out now on Mashed Potato Records, Lore is a rugged, eerie, and wild homage to both a real and imagined place.

’Lore of the Shadow People II Tour’ brings a unique, one-of-a-kind show to cities across North America. Songwriters Duff Thompson and Steph Green co-bill the night, with each act composed of the same group of multi-instrumentalists who reconfigure for each set in a spectacle of collaboration and rock and roll. Following last Fall’s successful execution of the concept, with multiple sold-out dates, the upcoming summer version of the show will feature new instrumentation, new unreleased, never-before-played-live songs, along with a mixed bag of newly released and older tracks from Thompson and Green’s albums. They will be joined in Eugene by songwriter/musician Will Sprott (Shannon and the Clams).
