Planning/Coordinating vs. Coordinating

The planning process, brides either love it or absolutely despise it. Often times this is the part that will either make or break the idea of a "big wedding."

As a wedding planner, I offer full planning services, vendor contact, contract securement & set up. I will help you manage payments and be sure you get everything done by the deadline. I'll help you pick decor, find rentals if needed and be sure it is all set up exactly how you'd like it. I'll keep in contact with all vendors and be sure the day goes by smoothly.

As a coordinator, vendor contact is a huge deal! Contacting your vendors prior to the wedding, constantly the week of and then being sure they arrive on time the day of is what I am there for! While setting up the big day exactly as you'd like, I make sure to keep an eye on the time, keep everyone on track & make the day go as smooth as possible.

Combine the two and get the best of both worlds?! Highly recommended.

5 Reasons You Should Hire a Wedding Coordinator💍Let's talk!

1- SET UP/TEAR DOWN: remember all of that decor you bought and all of the fun things you planned for the day? Someone has to be responsible for it all and be sure it goes where you want it. The last thing you should have to do on your wedding day is the labor of set up! Let someone else take the reins while you sit back and enjoy the day! It goes by so fast!

2- VENDOR COMMUNICATION: all of those vendors you booked need to know who, what, when & where! Communication with vendors is key to making the day successful. Although you can have Mom, Dad or your MOH in charge of vendor details, they should be able to enjoy your day with you!

3- ROAD BUMPS: Yes, you spent a year or more planning the perfect day. Bumps still happen! Don't worry about those bumps and don't make the people you are excited to spend the day with have to worry about them! Your coordinator can help fix any snags and keep the day as stress free as possible!

4- RECEPTION THINGS: There are plenty of different tasks that are within the reception ... some you didn't think about. Who will dismiss your tables for dinner? Who will cut the cake? Who will clear dinner dishes from the tables? Although your caterer or venue owner may provide some of these services, they don't always! You don't want to have dinner plates sitting all evening and have to worry about cleaning them up after a day that's supposed to be all about you!

5- THE OBVIOUS: To my couples, the day is about you! Hire a wedding coordinator so you don't have to worry about anything but the love you have for each other and spending the day together! Your full focus should be on enjoying the day and really soaking it in! The day goes by fast! Take some time to slow it down!

Hey everyone!

It's been a while! Wedding season has kicked off & between wedding planning, coordinating and photography, I've been a busy girl!

Last weekend on May 24th, Paige & Max finally got to live out the day we've been planning together and waited on for months! Their wedding was perfect and went on without any hiccups! That's what a coordinator is for, my friends!

I didn't take many photos, I was hard at work! Here are some of Paige & Max's table settings! Their vibrant yellow, orange and pink was honestly such a beautiful touch to what turned out to be a 90° day!

A lot of people ask "is a day of coordinator really necessary?"

Here's my answer- for some people, yes. Others, no! It honestly always depends on the person but I can tell you it is helpful to EVERYONE!

Coordinators are not a must but here are some things to take into consideration about how I can help!

The big question: "Where do I start?!"

Here is a list of vendors for you! Not necessarily in order but plenty of different ideas and some you may not have thought of!

As a wedding planner my recommendation for you is to
1. Secure your venue.
✨ You can't contact & hire other vendors without a set venue and date! This is your priority!

2. Catering/Photography/Videography
As a photographer I say the importance of these is a tie!
✨ Feeding people is important! Be sure to search for catering vendors & figure out what type of food you'd like for the big day!
- sit down/plated?
- buffet?
Types:
-BBQ
-Italian
-Vegan options?
✨ Photography/Videography
- capturing the big day is so important! You want to be sure you find a photo/video artist that truly captures the vibe for the big day! You want to be sure you can look back years later and FEEL the day through your photos and videos!

Not everyone chooses to do both photo and video, and that's okay!
