Spatial audio 🤝 Synchronised lighting || We’re thrilled to announce that French art collective Visual System will be taking us on an immersive light journey at Full Cycle, a groundbreaking spatial audio concert series at the Amsterdam Dance Event.

Having created the iconic light dome at Wonderfruit and numerous large-scale installations across Europe, they will be setting up a lattice of LEDs in natural, organic shapes within the Amsterdam-based venue, The Other Side.

As always, the team will synchronise the lighting to the live sound, crafting an immersive synergy between light and music that’s simply breathtaking. They’ll also showcase the full potential of these systems with a dedicated light show each evening.

Thank you, Singapore! 🔊⚡ For one unforgettable night we amplified AFTER 2049, the official TOKEN2049 Closing Party and Pre-Formula 1 Grand Prix celebration, taking over the incredible Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark Observation Deck with stunning views of Singapore and the F1 circuit.

Powered by L-Acoustics L-ISA technology, our sound engineers worked with the artists to transform their sets into a highly memorable listening experience. Elements of the music moved and swirled around the audience, all while the sound of racing cars filled the air.

Atlas Studios brought the sounds and the deck to life with a sleek yet powerful lighting setup, controlled live throughout the event, creating a truly multisensory experience.

Here’s to pushing the boundaries of the live sound and light experience.

And talk about a line-up! Amplified by our immersive sound system, award-winning trio WhoMadeWho will be headlining the event alongside South African DJ and producer Da Capo. Join us for a unique experience, the likes of which Singapore has never seen before.

AFTER 2049 will be held on Friday, 20 September at the Marina Bay Sands’ SkyPark Observation Deck — open exclusively for AFTER 2049 each year, with exhilarating views of the Formula 1 evening session. “Full Cycle is a real meeting of minds,” says Polygon CEO Nico Elliott. “Polygon, The Other Side and L-Acoustics have a shared love for exceptional audio. We all believe that spatial sound is the future and we’re ready to bring it to audiences. ADE is up next.”

While we were the first to pull off spatialised events in outdoor spaces, The Other Side is the first nightclub with a permanent spatial audio install. And L-Acoustics’ L-ISA processor is the glue that holds it all together.

We’re bringing spatial audio to the Amsterdam Dance Event for the first time. Six artists over two nights. Fully spatialised in 360-degrees.

We're a curious species – we're always looking for the next exciting, unknown, never-experienced-before thing. If you're into live music, spatial audio is it. The new frontier.

Just as stereo evolved from mono, so spatial is the next step after stereo, and it’s changing how we experience live events. But how?

Spatial audio mimics how we experience sound naturally – it comes from every direction. In live music, it allows for greater space within the sound, and adds layers of depth, detail, and movement. It also means artists can be even more creative in how they think aboutand produce their music, and audiences can become active listeners, enjoying andexploring the soundscapes as a journey.

More and more, humanity craves novelty and innovation.

Oceanvs Orientalis used our 3D soundstage to take his rich and atmospheric beats to new worlds at Wonderfruit 2023. “I think finding new ways to enjoy music is a really important job,” he says. “I hope to have more chances in the future to perform on a 360-degree system; it offers so much potential to create unique listening experiences.” To prepare for live performances, our team works closely with artists to make their tracks 3D. This process, which takes place in the studio and during soundchecks, includes manipulating sounds across multiple dimensions.
