ด้วยความเชื่อแบบไทยๆ นี้ ทำให้บางครั้งชะตาชีวิตของเรา ถูกควบคุมด้วยสิ่งที่เราไม่รู้ความหมาย แต่ในความเป็นจริงอาจมีเหตุผล หรืออะไรบางอย่างที่ควบคุมสิ่งพิศวงเหล่านี้อยู่ก็ได้

With these wacky Thai superstitions, sometimes our fate gets controlled by things we don't understand at all. But really, there may be logical reasons behind these weird occurrences.

🌶 พลิก [ 𝑺𝑯𝑰𝑭𝑻 ] เป็นนิทรรศการจะพาคุณไป “พลิก” มุมมองต่อสิ่งของและเหตุการณ์ธรรมดาในชีวิตประจำวัน ผ่านงาน interactive art สุด absurd ของ Creative technologist และศิลปินมัลติมีเดีย ทั้ง 5 ที่เลือกหยิบมุมมองทั้งมีและไม่มีสาระของชีวิตประจำวันมาเล่าใหม่ผ่านบรรทัดของโค้ด, อัลกอริทึ่ม หรือ การต่อวงจรไฟฟ้า ออกมาเป็น “งานศิลปะเล่นได้” ที่จะมากระตุกความคิด และชวนให้ผู้ชมได้ตั้งคำถามต่อสิ่งรอบตัว ตั้งแต่เรื่องนามธรรมอย่างความสมบูรณ์แบบ ไปจนถึงการออกแบบเมือง นำไปสู่การถกเถียงถึง ปรัชญาชีวิต ปัญหาสังคม หรือแม้แต่สาระที่ศิลปะหรือเทคโนโลยีควรจะมี

Shift by Cache Collective will take you on a journey to 'shift' perspectives on ordinary objects and daily life through absurd interactive art pieces by five creative technologists & multimedia artists. The five creations are both meaningful and meaningless, containing stories told through lines of code, algorithms, and electrical circuitry to stimulate thoughts and invite viewers to question everything around them, from abstract concepts to urban design, leading to discussions on ways of life, social issues, and the essence of art and technology.

Breathtaking by studio THALAMUS​

มลพิษทางอากาศกลายเป็นส่วนหนึ่งของชีวิตพวกเรามานาน จนบางครั้งเราก็เผลอเคยชินไปกับการอยู่ใต้ท้องฟ้าขมุกขมัวพวกนั้นเป็นเรื่องปกติ อาจเพราะ มองไม่เห็น และไม่ได้รับผลกระทบจากฝุ่นในทันที
แต่เราเชื่อว่าอากาศที่ดีเป็นสิ่งสำคัญ และเป็นสิทธิพื้นฐานของทุกคน

พวกเรา Studio Thalamus จึงออกแบบ Breathtaking ผลงาน installation ที่เป็นเหมือนภาพจำลองของปอดขนาดยักษ์ ที่แสดงคุณภาพอากาศที่เรากำลังหายใจ
ผลงานชิ้นนี้ถูกสร้างขึ้นมาจากลูกบอลจำนวนมาก ที่ขยับเหมือนกับถุงลมที่กำลังหายใจ โดยลูกบอลเหล่านี้จะเปลี่ยนสีไปตามปริมาณฝุ่น PM 2.5 ในอากาศ ณ พื้นที่ที่คุณยืนอยู่ หรือพื้นที่แถวบ้านคุณแบบ real time

เราตั้งใจสร้าง BREATHTAKING ภายใต้ความคิดว่าในฐานะประชาชนธรรมดาๆ คนหนึ่ง เราทำอย่างไรกับปัญหามลพิษทางอากาศ ปัญหาฝุ่นพิษ PM2.5 นี้ได้บ้าง

ในฐานะนักออกแบบ เราตั้งใจเปลี่ยนฝุ่นเล็กๆ ในอากาศ บรรยากาศอึมครึม ท้องฟ้าที่ขมุกขมัวในบางวัน ให้เป็นมากกว่าแค่ตัวเลขค่าฝุ่นในหน้า application หรือข้อมูลสถิติ แต่เป็นชิ้นงานศิลปะที่ผู้ชมสามารถรู้สึกไปกับมันได้

พวกเรา Studio Thalamus หวังว่า BREATHTAKING จะได้เป็นส่วนเล็กๆ อีกส่วนที่สามารถสร้างแรงกระเพื่อมให้สังคมของเราได้กลับมาตื่นตัวเรื่องของคุณภาพอากาศ และคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดีของตัวเองอีกครั้ง
