🎄✨ Christmas is always a little brighter with Yogi by our side! ✨🎄

At 15 years and 11 months young, Yogi’s still bringing joy to our lives every single day. This year, we had the honor of visiting Santa—who just so happens to be our dear friend —and the incredible photographer behind these moments is Santa’s amazing wife, .bloomphoto . Their friendship, love, and kindness made this moment with Yogi even more magical.

It’s a wrap! By the end of today, holiday wreath season will officially come to a close—no more Clark Griswold-style sap-covered hands until next year! Now it’s time to slow down and focus on my loved ones. ♥️

This year, there are Christmas presents under the tree thanks to all of YOU who planned a workshop or bought a wreath. Your support means the world to me—Cincy truly loves handmade wreaths, and I’m so grateful for this incredible community.

I’m already dreaming up plans for Valentine’s Day, when I’ll be offering wreaths again—stay tuned for the big reveal! 🫶🏼 But for now, it’s all about soaking up the holiday spirit, starting seeds, planning next year’s gardens, and chatting with couples about their wedding dreams.

Someone abandoned this precious little puppy at Sunrock Farm last night, but thankfully my friend found her just as she was pulling in. She made sure the puppy got to a shelter where it’s now safe, but this sweet pup still needs a loving home—one where it will never face the heartbreak of being left behind on a cold rainy night again.

🎄The spirit of Christmas filled the air at the this weekend, where I teamed up with an old friend to bring some love to cats in need of homes. I spotted an idea online, shared it with Amanda, and before I knew it, she and her dad built a sturdy structure while I crafted a wreath. Together, we rolled around the cat rooms with liquid treats, toys, and patience, earning trust and capturing holiday portraits to help these beautiful adult cats shine as brightly as kittens.

Volunteering this time of year fills my heart with the true meaning of Christmas. It’s a simple way to give back and remind these animals they’re loved. And while the holidays bring a special spirit, shelters need help year-round.

If adoption isn’t possible, perhaps you can give a little time to a shelter. Just showing up—whether to clean, play, or share kindness—can change a life. After all, the love you give is the greatest gift of all, any time of year. To learn more about adopting a cat or dog or to volunteer head over to for the latest updates. Today and everyday, I’m especially grateful for the gift of good health, time with loved ones, the snuggles of my fur babies, and the beauty of my gardens—and the breathtaking gardens of my fellow flower farmer friends who inspire me daily.

I’m also thankful for this space—a place where I can share my dreams, my love for building community, flowers and wildlife, and the stories that bring me joy.

✨ Scorpio Season ✨

Today is my birthday, and as the years stack up, my heart is focusing more and more on gratitude. As I celebrate another trip around the sun, I’m reminded of how important it is to be gentle with ourselves and others, to be thankful for all that we have, and to always radiate love.

I’m spending today with two of the most important people in my life, my mom and dad, and ending it surrounded by my wonderful husband, little sister, in-laws, and my fur babies. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it.

This year, I’m especially grateful for the beauty and connection in something so simple—flowers. I had a birthday first this year, cutting fresh chrysanthemums, November’s birth flower, from Lexi’s beautiful high tunnel at Bokenkotter Blooms. She graciously let me cut the flowers myself, and I can’t describe how meaningful it was to pick these locally grown autumn blooms. They’re a perfect reflection of the care and love that goes into every petal—a woman tending to her flowers with the same dedication I put into mine, offering beauty, joy, and love from the earth. 

Here’s to another year of growth, love, and blooming into the best version of myself. 💐

🌸 Life’s connections with animals are such a blessing, and my flower farming journey wouldn’t be the same without this little star! 🌟 My kitty, Sunny, showed up as a stray one day, and I didn’t know how much I needed her until she arrived. She brings so much joy to me and the farm every single day. When I scheduled this photo shoot, I knew Sunny would steal the show! 🐱🌻 📸

Being a grower is a joy because I can spend time searching for flowers that truly speak to me. One that has always captured my heart is the Madame Butterfly snapdragon. So last winter, I decided to focus solely on this variety. I carefully planted and nurtured each one from seed under lights in my dining room, transplanted them to the garden in April, and harvested armfuls like this in June. I feel incredibly lucky to be a grower, sharing my love of nature with you through flowers.

Yesterday’s wedding was a fun one! ✨ These personal flowers feature beautiful blooms from my farm, a fellow gardener’s flower plot, and two other fantastic local flower farms— and . There’s nothing like the beauty of locally-grown flowers to make a special day even more memorable. It won’t be long until you see 100% locally grown weddings later this summer when my east end garden is in full bloom. ☺️☺️☺️
