Hi, Steve here! I wanted to tell you that I have a 1 hour show, at 8pm Mondays, repeated Saturdays, on KTCRfm, which covers Keynsham, Bristol and a whole lot more! Wherever you are, you can catch me via the website. I play a mix of old favourites with the odd “new” song thrown in to keep you on your toes!
A new feature is “Handbag Hit”, that song all you ladies got up to dance to, and because there was nobody sitting down to guard the handbags, you danced around them! Remember that? If you would like to nominate a song for that, please let me know
I’m also planning a smooch song for the last track of my shows, that song that made you cuddle up to your partner. If you have a favourite, let me know and I will try to play it for you.
You have to give me a couple of weeks notice for nominated tracks, as each show is carefully planned in advance, to give you the best quality listening experience.
The very last part of my show is a shout-out for local bands or events, so if you want a bit of promotion, let me know. Again, please allow a couple of weeks notice.

Well, I’m freshly returned from my trip to Ireland, a bit turbulent weather-wise!
I flew from Bristol to Galway on 5th April for the disco at Galway Rowing Club on the Saturday evening. I got all set up and ready to go, but sadly Hurricane Kathleen arrived so not everybody could attend. However, there were 40+ people, most up and dancing all night!
It was a great evening, much enjoyed by everybody, despite the weather. They had heard about me through my regular discos for AgeUK and Redcatch Community
Getting home was another adventure, as the Bristol plane couldn’t land because of the storm, so I was forced to stay an extra day! Irish hospitality is lovely, so I didn’t mind one bit. Not sure about my day job though!!!
Now, back to prep work for my regular slot on KTCRfm https://ktcrfm.com/ You can hear me on Monday evenings (repeated Saturday evenings) at 8pm

We had a ball, literally, at the Redcatch FAB Disco. Lots of you were there, it was very lively and pretty much everybody was dancing all night!
Here’s an extract from an email about the event

“Just emailing to let you know what an amazing success Friday was! .... I can't express just how incredible it was.
Everything from DJ Steve's setup, to the music, to the 'Reimagine the Chart' game, the attendees, dance moves, massive conga line at the end - pure magic!
We had a ninety-year-old attend who guessed the chart year with ease (and won a free drink!)
We also had a seventy-four-year-old come along who had never been to any disco ever - and absolutely loved it!
In total we sold 58 tickets online and roughly 25 on the night! So a very successful evening all-in-all and Dj Steve said 'the best one yet'! I think our community was so in need of something like this - so many attendees echoed this.
Just wanted to say a big big thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Silvia, Age UK and FAB for all your hard work in making this a reality. Silvia - what a legacy! We are so grateful - thank you.
We're still buzzing (and will be for a while I think!)”
