Your venue MATTERS! The lighting, architecture, and layout of your venue will play a huge role in how your photos turn out and the overall vision for your day!✨

For example, if you book a venue with tons wood, industrial or darker elements - your photos will reflect that even if you book a light & airy photographer (ahm me). If you book a venue with lots of natural light, green spaces and white/natural architecture your light & airy photographer will THRIVE (ahm me). It’s not your photographer’s job to change the look of your venue, even though we always scout and suggest places with the best lighting in every location. So make sure your photographer doesn’t just match the editing aesthetic of your desired photos, but also the aesthetic of your venue. Definitely something to keep in mind as you book both!🤍

Reasons why you should do a bridal session:
•It’s a laid back, relaxed time to get all the photos of just you in your dress without the rush of a timeline!
•You can choose to do it at your venue or different locations so you get a variety! Emily got married at a venue with beautiful natural elements and views, but also wanted some downtown/clean vibes, so we got the best odds both worlds!
•We can schedule around weather! On Emily’s wedding day we had cloudy skies and rain later during sunset time, which made for great photos on the day, but we were also able to schedule her bridal session around weather when we knew the sun would be out to get different lighting and that golden hour glow!
•We get to spend more time together! Emily chose to do her session the week after her wedding and it made us SO happy to get to spend time with both Jake & her more than just the wedding day!!

I recently had a call with a 2025 bride and she asked if there would be enough time to get some individual shots of just her on her day and I said a very enthusiastic, “YES!!! OF COURSE!!” We always make a point to get a variety of individual shots of our brides! You only get to be a bride once so make sure you have vendors who prioritize YOU!🫶🏼

Also, hang with me as I am going to try to be better about posting more than just sneaks on here! There’s so many stunning photos from weddings this year that show the variety we offer in a gallery and I just haven’t had the time to sit down and schedule it all out, but that’s changing!🤞🏻
