Your babies won’t stay babies forever 🥺 So let’s take some photos this spring and summer to document this sweet chapter in your lives. I want your photos to help you remember how holding your baby’s tiny little hand felt. Or the joy you feel when they giggle when you lift them up. I want you to recall the tiny moments, like sharing a flower on the green grass next to the creek. I want to capture how blue their eyes are and how they match the river and sky. Here’s a set from last spring when I drove up to Katie + Chris’s property in Grangeville to capture sweet Evelyn.

I think I got too focused on crafting a technically perfect image rather than photos that make you feel. I experimented with a different style a little bit more last time I shot with Kelso + Trace. We met for coffee in the morning before taking photos downtown. I decided I wanted to take some photos inside as well as outside and I’m so glad I did. I love the way this set makes me feel and I hope you do too. Kelso always has the most beautiful colors in their hair that I normally don’t do black and white edits on them. But I wanted to play around with black and white and creating a film like feel to their digital photos. I always love working with these muses of mine 🖤 Life always looks like a movie with these two.

Thank you for another fantastic year. I've been running this business since 2017 and shooting weddings since 2015. So much has changed over the years, including my hair color. When I started my business I was newly engaged and just turned 21. I was full of excitement and ready for a change moving from California to Idaho. Now 5 years later, The Wrights, living in Boise, exploring the beauty of Idaho, meeting all of you lovely humans, and making a new community here radically changed me as a person, an artist, and business owner. I get outside more, care less about posed photos and more about candid, authentic moments. Photos that make you feel and less about perfection. Less about the perfect outdoor location and more about who I'm photographing in their natural element. I feel like you can see a reflection of that in my work this last year.

2022 was a bit of a rough year, but made it through. I had a total of 10 weddings, 20 sessions, edited 10,000+ photos, + got covid and missed my first wedding in the history of shooting weddings.

I thought nothing but my business could make me happy and I was incredibly wrong. It has brought me so much happiness though.

I'm still booking portrait sessions and weddings and elopements in 2023! I'd love to work with you to celebrate your love. I'm going to be taking on a little less work this next year to enjoy other parts of life outside of my business, some of my closest friends getting married themselves, as well as my second job at Water Bear.

A couple weeks ago I wandered around downtown with these cuties! I loved showing them some of my fav spots and I do love this damn town. I feel like it shows up in my work and especially when my couples' stories involve Boise ♥️ I'm so glad I finally got to work with Shanna + Kevin! I had so much fun catching up with Jess + Ty at their Bogus family session! Got to meet their sweet pup, Toffee, and she's the cutest. How sweet are photos 2 + 3 of Toffee licking her nose and that adorable bandana? We had a blast playing in the snow at golden hour. The light was *chef's kiss* and they nailed the colors of their outfit to go with the scenery. I love continuing to take your photos of your lives and love after the wedding! And watching your families grow ♥️

Yesterday afternoon I met up with Hannah + Pete at for some fall Hyde Park engagement photos! They had their first date here in 2020 and the rest was history.
Pete got an old fashioned; Hannah a whiskey sour.

Your session location should be somewhere special and that feels like you! I love that they chose this bar and the story behind it. Also, I can't stop gawking over Hannah's ring and the moody fall light we had!

Falissa + Heather's fall maternity session is up on the blog! I met Falissa + Heather for the first time on their elopement day at Cascade Lake in 2019. I was so excited to find out they were pregnant when they reached out in 2021 for a maternity session! They wanted a natural setting so we started out in the foothills and worked our way up to Bogus for a beautiful sunset.

I also ended up photographing Harrison’s newborn session when he made his earth side arrival and can’t wait to share their sweet family photos. I love following along your family’s journey after the wedding!

Happy 4 year wedding anniversary and 27th birthday to my best friend ! Yes, we got married on Adam's birthday! We love fall in the mountains and libra season so much and it was the last weekend that was open for the season.

It was one of the most beautiful days I've had in the Sawtooths with all my favorite people. With every year that passes, our wedding gallery and film mean more and more to me. I'm still obsessed with the weather we had that day and how everything came together. From the beautiful flowers to the arch that Adam and his grandpa built.

Adam, you are the kindest person I've met. I am so excited and honored I get to love you for the rest of my life. You're my #1 bug and you inspire me constantly. Thank you for continuing to love me so well.

What better way then to kick off your Sun Valley wedding weekend than a welcome party and rehearsal dinner at The Warfield? Their food and drinks are killer and they have a beautiful patio that looks over downtown Ketchum. We started off the evening with a few photos at the famous Sun Valley Red Barn and then headed over to their party. Megan + Jake had signature cocktails and cute photos from throughout their lives. My favorite drink was the "Not As Hot as Megan" 🔥

Happy wedding day to these cuties! We're celebrating Ryan + Maddy in Sun Valley today. It's the last wedding of the three Wright brothers. Adam's a co best man with his brother Will and I get to be just a guest! It's fun to be on the other side of celebrating wedding days. I still brought our 35mm film camera and Instax though 😘

Those just married vibes! I am absolutely living for the moment baby's breath is having. Kinsley + Bobby had such an elegant minimal style for their wedding that I'm absolutely obsessed with. And the more weddings I have at , the more I love this beautiful venue!

Even though I wasn't able to be at Kinsley + Bobby's wedding myself, I feel like I was there. I love that captured their beautiful day so well. He helped step in when the unthinkable happened, I tested positive for COVID just days before K+B's wedding. All went well and I edited in my usual style and it's got a great Thistle & Pine feel. Thank you to for recommending Josh when I was desperate to find a photographer still available last minute for their date. I appreciate this local photo community!

Morgan + Jesse had such a stunning Snohomish wedding! Washington really showed off on their wedding day with some rain and then beloved, rare sunshine. I've always wanted to shoot at this venue and their wedding gave me another excuse to visit Seattle for a week! Swipe to see all the beautiful details + some moments from M + J's day. Unfortunately I got covid before my last wedding of the year, but I'm bouncing back. So I'll be posting more on this account again! The 2022 wedding season was a beautiful one and I'm so grateful for all the wonderful couples and people I've met this year 💞 Thanks for choosing me to document your day! I absolutely love bumping into past clients at weddings as guests 🥲 And I'm so thankful that right before I got covid I got to visit with a lot of friends in Seattle. This last weekend was so epic. Frankie + Erik had one of the most stunning Coeur d'Alene weddings I've been to! All of the details were perfect and so them. Golden hour was so good to us 😍 We danced the night away to Abba and Celine. I'm still not over Frankie's dress train, cathedral veil, + bouquet.

I love traveling across Idaho to the prettiest places with the best couples! This wedding season has been so good to me and I'm feeling very thankful for y'all. I'm going to be shooting another wedding locally this weekend and off to Seattle in a couple weeks!

A couple snaps from Marissa + Levi's Greenbelt maternity session last night! I originally met Marissa through taking her bo***ir photos. We've already done a couple sessions together, so the familiarity was there.

I can't wait to meet baby Alexander when he's earthside. From nudies to newborns, I'm your girl 😜

Also, was it even a Thistle & Pine shoot if I didn't make you get in the water? It was seriously so hot this week, it was a good call to decide to change session locations to the river! I was stoked to show them one of my fav river spots.

Let's talk Day After Sessions 🌟

Sometimes there's not enough time on your wedding day to take photos in all the pretty places and do all the activities. So with scheduling a little day after session, you get the best of both worlds. Toss your wedding clothes back on, slow down, and pop some champagne with an incredible view! Get your feet + dress a little dirty. All while you have that newly married energy! ✨

Arial + Michael had their wedding on Orcas Island at Pebble Cove Farm, but wanted to take some photos the day after with their hiking backpacks in the place they got engaged! So right after we took the ferry back from Orcas, we drove over to Deception Pass State Park.

They just celebrated their 1 year anniversary a couple days ago and thought I'd share this post! So thankful to these cuties for bringing me along to a couple new beautiful places.

Well, these photos sum up how I feel today as a menstruator living in Idaho. While I deeply love this beautiful place, I hate it here most of the time. The state has made it clear they don't care about our lives. Abortion is going to become a felony in 30 days in the state of Idaho. This is going to effect all menstruators and especially those who are marginalized.

The patriarchy has tried to control my body my whole life and today has been triggering + out of body. I want you all to know that my DM's are a safe space if you need to talk about your feelings today. Also that if you need resources or support and live in Idaho, don't hesitate to reach out.

Balloons, disco balls, bubbles, + beautiful colors were the vibe of Claire + Vinnie's downtown Boise wedding this weekend! A green wedding dress + blue suit looked so good on these cuties. Absolutely obsessed. They got ready at The Modern and had their ceremony + reception at The Linen Building. I love all of the perfect details from this day!

Yesterday I drove out to Grangeville to meet up with Katie + Chris at their gorgeous property. Three years since their elopement, they've made a gorgeous home together + welcomed Evelyn into the world. I love meeting your little ones + watching your families grow! 🥺 I also finally got to meet Bonnie and I know if I was a dog I would be very happy here. I adore watching y'all become parents + getting to stay in your lives after the wedding! I will never get tired of driving through this beautiful state to take your photos. I'll meet ya anywhere! The greens + snowcapped mountains in Idaho in May are unmatched. Can't wait to share the rest of this gorgeous session!

Those just married vibes! 🍾💫
Yesterday was absolutely magical. Jes + Don eloped with their closest friends + family at a little cabin in the mountains. It was a beautiful day filled with a gorgeous dress, pretty flowers, great views, + lots of love! They exchanged private vows after their ceremony + had a sweet first dance. We ended the night with some wedding cake cozied up next to the fire.

Safe to say, wedding season is off to a great start! And tomorrow I head back out to the mountains for a newborn session with one of my past wedding couples.

I can't believe it's been a year since Kylee + Kody’s wedding, but I’m finally getting around to blogging it! They got married on a rainy day in McCall at Shore Lodge with their family + friends. Had the sweetest Mother's Day family session with one of my past wedding couples this afternoon on the Greenbelt. I love taking updated fam photos every year with Hannah + Ryan! They've brought along extended family the past couple springs which makes it even more special. I love these sweet cousin pics and kids being kids 😭♥️ Happy Mother's Day to all the rad moms + mom figures out there today!!

A perfect Sunday afternoon with Kels + Trace. They welcomed me into their home yesterday to take photos. We sipped on coffee Kelsey made us while listening to music. They even brought out their guitars. I loved how natural their photos feel! So glad I can call these cuties friends 🖤

Last summer took me to some pretty incredible places with some pretty incredible couples. I'm finally getting around to blogging it all!

Arial + Michael’s Orcas Island wedding was one of the most beautiful wedding weekends I’ve had the pleasure to be a part of. Orcas is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. Washington has deeply stolen my heart the past couple wedding seasons.

A + M shared a sweet private first look down by the water and a ceremony with their closest family and friends. Arial’s mom walked her down the aisle. Their reception toasts were beautiful, especially Arial’s sister’s. Their father had passed away and Arial’s sister played a recording of their father singing + playing guitar, never heard by Arial before. As a recording started to play, Arial asked “Is this dad?”. She started crying and rested her head into Michael. Immediately there were tears shed all around. Arial grabbed her mom and danced to her father singing to her on her wedding day. It was one of the most wholesome moments I’ve been a part of and we all felt Arial’s father there with us.

I even shed some tears today while I finished blogging this wedding. A + M are truly special and have some incredible people in their lives. I'm so honored I got to be there to capture it all. Click the link below to see their full day + read more! Because I can't sum it all up in only 10 photos.

Just finished Kate + Ryan's wedding gallery! I will be in an editing cave for the next couple months with all these summer weddings, only coming out to make an appearance to physically shoot and travel 😂 and maybe visit the river when I'm not working!
