2023 was a rollercoaster of emotions packed with a list of international acts and Plague firsts, and we can't wait to share 2024 with you and show what we have in store🫡

But before all that, we'd like to thank you for showing up and moshing and singing the night away with us one last time in 2023 this weekend. Thanks to for adding a whole lotta energy and angst to the night, and thanks to all of you for vibing and singing so hard throughout the whole that it took us a while to realise the lights went out for a bit 🫨😅

You showed us that we may all still not be okay, but for one night, we can all set our troubles aside and have a blast 🫰

SURPRISE: TIME TO CRANK UP THE NOISE + THE ANGST 🤬

Hardcore punk trio will be performing a short but explosive live set sometime during next week's Not Okay, to make sure you get an extra, distorted punch in the gut as we go all emo for the final Plague of 2023 🎤🎸

Bila's set will be flanked by a total of Four DJ sets which will take you all the way from 90s Midwestern Emo pioneers to contemporary dark trap bangers... stopping along the way for some 00s scene anthems, of course (^-\\)

What started out as a dream on the last day of 2022 to make 2023 Plague's biggest year yet is turning into this insane reality - and it's all thanks to you guys 🥹

Despite it being a Thursday night, despite it being a horrific heatwave, despite half the island being plunged into darkness, we did it. And we couldn't have done it without you, and we will never, ever forget that. To everyone who ever told us Plague gave them a home, you gave us a family 🖤

⚠️ FULL LINEUP ⚠️

ICYMI, is coming to Malta for a first-ever live performance at the temple of this July 🦇

The electronic music project from LA based musician and producer A***n Ashtiani, Mareux has become a cult phenomenon that has extended way beyond its darkwave roots.

It was 2021's instant classic reinterpretation of The Cure's The Perfect Girl which truly catapulted Mareux into the internet hall of fame, with the track's popularity and usages across all platforms of social media helping it amass over 250 million plays on Spotify alone through a number of different versions and remixes.

Now, after more than a decade of developing his post-punk and darkwave-inspired dance style, Mareux has finally unveiled his debut album, Lovers From The Past.

The night will also feature a dark live performance by alongside sets by , and Black Plague's very own I.YOU and Scythe 🎛️

We're still not over last Saturday's raw energy for our first Live Showcase. It's always incredible to see you not only taking in whatever we throw at you, but throwing it back at us with even more intensity. And this time round, a group of local and international artists who work hard to do what they do were just as lucky to get that from you guys ✨

Thanks and kudos to .hill , , , and for delivering high-octane, emotionally-charged sets that kept the crowd going and vibing 🎤

Speaking of emotions, how insane was that reception to the return of our Still Not Okay set?! 🐡

To everyone involved, whether it's setting up behind the scenes or moshing in the front row, you make Plague what it has become, and we can't wait to share all the crazy big nights we have planned for you in 2023 🚧

We’re back for a special 10-Plague-filled fifth year, RTS is back for its special 10th edition… so that can only mean one thing: one big bash celebrating both! 🤝

In the run up to 2023, Black Plague is hosting the festival’s official pre-party - at its home in Zion, of course 😮‍💨

And since the beloved Maltese festival is all about live music, local newcomers, national heavyweights and international acts, we will be honouring all of that for the debut of BLACK PLAGUE PRESENTS, a new kind of BP outing injecting live performances into our high-octane nights 😮‍💨

For the first time ever in Malta, this night will see take to the stage. The Italian metalhead-turned-rapper-turned-metalhead exploded onto the scene after being featured on with his abrasive banger SPINE, which went on to amass over two million views on YouTube alone. Yung Belial also dropped the infectious N666XT with Malta’s very own Eddie Fresco, another hit with over a quarter of a million plays on YouTube and Spotify. Since then, Yung Belial hasn’t shied away from trying a laundry list of genres, from metal to techno to everything in between. On the night, he will be debuting some new tracks… and has even promised to perform instrumental breaks using some of his dark studio’s weapons of choice 🇮🇹🔥

Also taking to the stage on the night will be Malta’s hottest export , his companion and ethereal magician , and .hill , one of the newer names on the block who merges his metal upbringing with melodic rap 🎤

And to close everything off, expect an OG Black Plague set that will keep you raging, moshing and looking for the next police barrier… until it’s time to go home and start counting down the days until the next Plague 🚧
