🌿Whew! Finally found out the cause of my Anemia! I just want to thank God for the ability to have medical insurance! Not knowing the cause of anything could lead to a worsening condition!!! This is a gratitude post!
🌿I am also encouraging some of you who love to say👉🏾 “I hate going to the Doctor” and “I hate hospitals.” 👉🏾Especially those over 40 need to utilize your medical benefits and get all the way checked out! I have been Anemic all my life. Since turning 40 I have had 2 iron infusions, because I have been at a level 4 and 5. Heavy cycle has been my biggest issue. My Doctor was like👉🏾Sis, we are going to make sure it’s nothing… better safe than sorry. Did a colonoscopy, and all things were good. Then my Doc suggested a EGD ( esophagogastroduodenoscopy) which is procedure that looks at the upper gastrointestinal area. That includes the including the esophagus, stomach, and first part of the small intestine . 👀Found out I had a Peptic Ulcer. WTF is a Peptic Ulcer? lol 😂 Welp, I found out that is what Is causing my Anemia. Basically it’s stomach lining bleeding, which causes a low red blood cell count. Symptoms include pale skin, fatigue, and lack of energy. Only thing that saved me from being dead tired is that I’m big on B12.
🌿I do have to take medication for 8 weeks and then repeat the procedure to ensure it’s healed. While doing that, I’m eating bananas, turmeric tea, fiber-rich foods, yogurt, fish, green leafy vegetables… and so on.
🌿I stopped taken iron pills, even when I had to do the transfusions. I just had a premonition that I should not take it. I even felt bad, because I thought I was being irresponsible, because my iron was low. Yooooo, then I find out TODAY that taking iron pills makes ulcers worse👀I told yall, I have aserious intuitive gift (😂but I digress). FYI, if you are dealing with ulcers, stop taking Ibuprofen… Take Tylenol.
❤️Anywho, this could help someone. I’m about Health and Wellness. I run a Health and Wellness business. This is my testimony, but also more education for myself, and for those who took the time to read. I don’t have fibroids, yet I had heavy bleeding. I thought my heavy bleeding had to do with my body not absorbing iron well. Welp, the EGD procedure determined that was a lie. At the end of the day, don’t guess👉🏾go get checked. 🏁As I enter into 2025, I am looking forward to new beginnings… A rebirth that will set the tone for the rest of my life. I have recognized the transition/ the new phase of my life… The next level of consciousness. Old things are passed away, and honestly it’s been since October… a lot have become brand new. Every year we try to be better, plan better…I’m at my better right now, and 2025 is looking like it will start the journey with my best.

1️⃣ Don’t break your fast with toast and fruit. Instead, prioritize protein. Aim for 30-50 grams of protein to start your day.

Try this protein-packed breakfast → 4oz ground beef, 2 scrambled eggs, 1/2 cup sweet potatoes 🍽️

This will actually help you maintain your muscle and hit the ground running.

Prioritizing protein after fasting boosts muscle building and helps protect muscle - particularly when trying to lose weight.

2️⃣ Add resistance training. Because if you’re not hitting the gym, fasting is like sharpening a knife with a pillow. It’s not going to work.

So, I’ve got one question for you:
What’s your first meal of the day when breaking your fast?

If it’s not protein-heavy and paired with some resistance training, we’ve got work to do.

This simple seated posture can be done at the beginning and end of your practice as a mini meditation. Sit in a comfortable cross-legged position, with your right shin in front of your left. If your hips are tight, sit on a folded blanket or bolster to make it easier to keep your back straight and your shoulders relaxed and down.
