Serato Dj Video has been a staple on the TTDJ scene for years now, but we rarely get to use it because good Djing has the main focus. Period.
Last week at the 2nd #TalkingThatDjTalk event we had a night full of Dj fun, but did not break out the Serato Video until the end. Great thing though because some of the more advanced Djs spent time instructing, but they got a chance to play with this technology without having to go back and learn how to Dj first.
Beautiful!

Talk about being in a zone. #DjZOOM was happy to join our little Dj game of #KeepThePhrase "I'm the King Of Rock" under the #SandsOnYourHands timer. You have a short time with a short phrase so try to be musical.
A few beginners even joined in, and tried to keep the phrase going. What a fun night.

Last Night was a whole night of mixing, blending, vibing, teaching, learning, eating, and Dj Talk.
We started out the night flipping some Hangmen 3 tracks in Birthday Honor of Boston Pioneer Dj @TheRealJeff2Timez, then moved on to blending, and flipping different records.4 different setups from amature to professional there was something for every skill level.
One activity we had last night was "Keep The Phrase" the phrase was simply "I'm the King Of Rock". Keep the phrase creativity looping with only the deck and fader. No button pushing except to reset. The #SandsOnYourHands (minute glass) is your timer. Even the students joined in and did a great job playing. Music is about having fun. #LetsBringFunBackToDjing
