Colour back in the studio - it’s June so it must be pink!
The flowers are faux but trends still follow the natural seasons - loads of peonies and roses, wild meadow flowers and a few tulips….

My studio is popping with colour at the moment
🌈 it’s Pride month 🏳️🌈
Loads of gorgeously colourful wreaths being packaged up and sent out - weddings, celebrations and some just because they love colour!
These are the most fun wreaths to make - I just grab handfuls of flowers of the right colours - sometimes the varieties differ depending on what I have available but the colours stay the same - each one has a specific meaning 🌈

I love how each theme is so different, it’s such a personal thing - I just need to provide the wreaths and garlands to match the ideas 😍

Ribbons!
I literally have drawers FULL of them, I ‘can’t’ throw any of them away
Festive Wreaths - get the ribbon colours right and the foliage will do the rest!
This year - every shade of green, jewel colours and a few neutrals - velvet is still my favourite
At the workshops people often bring their own treasured embellishments - last year some gorgeous feathers turned up - they’d come all the way from Africa - gorgeous exotic colours and I had just happened to have the perfect ribbon!
This years workshops start on Tuesday - really looking forward to them

I’m a bit behind this year, so…….a sunny day, on-line orders nearly caught up, no freelancing and a couple of four-legged companions to motivate me - I’m up to my elbows in moss, foliage and possibly a few cones!

Almost every order for the last two weeks has been pink - every shade and variety of floral gorgeousness - peonies, cosmos, roses…..
The whites are slowly waining ….apart from in my house!

Happy New Year!
As a small business - I always start the new year worrying whether the orders will still come rolling in - was last year a lucky ‘blip’?
It’s lots of hard work as in any business - changing and tweaking things constantly - some good, some not so…
So to have already had orders placed and even one for an Easter wreath - far more organised than I ever could be - it’s made me start the year smiling 😄
