Tomorrow night at The Grant County Fair Grounds. Demolition Derby returns, show starts at 7pm.

It's has been a very stressful few months trying to secure insurance so the youth could run Grant County. One bid was $11,000 the others was 16 or 14 years or older.

Ashley Burgess has talked to at least 50 different companies. Some of them have sold our information and now we get 10 calls a day about loans or home insurance. Ready to pull our hair out is a understatement.

Grant County Fairboard called today and said they would cover this Saturday's show to give us more time to find an affordable insurance company. The weight of the world has been lifted off of us. This Fair Board cares about the future of our sport just as much as we do.

This Saturday the youth classes are a go! I hope to see a big turn out for the kids classes!

It has been brought to my attention that some people who are participating in the derbies are drinking and are intoxicated while participating. Demolition Derby is a dangerous sport and I need everyone's undivided attention when participating, there are a lot of things that drivers need to be aware of. Officials, red flags, driver's doors, etc. I'm not saying you can't enjoy an adult beverage at the derbies, but no one should do so before running in the derbies. This is not pointed at one particular person just a blanket for everyone. I don't want to have to start giving a breathalyzer before each heat, but if insurance is going to come down on me I have to act accordingly. Thanks, Nate Burgess Junk It Promotions.

ITS DERBY TIME!

The season opener in Cass County is today in Logansport, Indiana. The derby starts at 7pm, and drivers are reminded to be in the tech line by 5:30. The event is scheduled to proceed, regardless of weather conditions.

There is a little bit of talk about people going to try and push the rules this coming Friday. Better bring the torches! It is you're responsibly to read the rules and build to them. Don't want any crying when you got to cut or get loaded. Better read up and check over your cars twice.

Junkers and Junkets i need your help. We are looking for a new insurance company. Most companies that have been used is wanting to do away with the youth classes. We have call several companies and I best we could come up with is 14 years and older. We believe getting the youth involved as soon as possible is the key to keep our sport alive. If you know of any companies or can tag any and all promoters please do. We are running out of time and need to get a policy ASAP. Thanks everyone!
