Friday was a weird day, and obviously the fight has only just begun. Our contributions as DJs is to do our very best to keep spirits up and give people nights out to dance away their stress. To that end, we were conflicted about but ultimately happy to bring you the beats.

Phil and I say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Kicks & Giggles and boogied (and more) on the dance floor.

We've officially donated $100 to National Network of Abortion Funds from Friday's earnings.

Ben and I are looking forward to uniting with everyone in care and togetherness tonight.

We are going forward with Kicks as scheduled tonight, to open our doors to everyone who wants to feel love and acceptance and be together in a place of lightness on this heavy day.

Both Ben and I feel really conflicted about the Kicks party scheduled for tonight. On the one hand, we're not in a celebratory mood. Part of me wants to camp out in front of the SCOTUS building all night screaming "shame on you" until I blow out my voicebox. On the other hand, many people who are feeling deeply affected by this evil Supreme Court decision are also feeling like they need to get out of their dark headspace, and be in the presence of a caring, loving, affirming community. The exact community that has built up around Kicks these past 3 and a half years. We both agree we not only understand that, we feel similarly. We also know the amazing staff of Green Lantern looks forward to this party, and we want to be together at this time, in a space that reflects an accepting world that we dream of creating. A world unlike the one the Supreme Court wants to build.

That's why we will keep Kicks going tonight.

Ben and I will donate 25% of whatever we make tonight to the Abortion Access Network, and organization that removes barriers to access to abortion for women, trans men, and non-binary folks seeking abortion who may have difficulty accessing because of finances, or because their state has taken their rights away. So if you're going out drinking anyway, consider coming to Kicks to spend your dollars, as a portion will be going toward getting humans who need abortion care the care they need.

And if you just don't feel like going out tonight, that's okay too. But just please take care of your mental health on this difficult day, however you can, and surround yourself with love and good vibes. We have a long fight ahead of us, and we will be fighting until every American who seeks an abortion has safe and easy access to it. If you are going out tonight, we would love to see you and give you our love.

In unity with all humans who just want the right to decide what's best for their own bodies and lives.
