So many good times with these two! From the board game themed tables to the pinata cake (swipe to see what I mean) this wedding was a blast!

Whonnock Lake Centre is great for so many reasons. Aside from the beautiful location, it's a very reasonably priced and a great option for a wedding on a budget. You can also bring in your own catering or friends to help decorate. I always recommend hiring a day of coordinator but it's up to you.

Another beautiful wedding at Stanley Park! The weather really was gorgeous and I was so grateful to get to celebrate this special day with Julie and Jonathan. The whole event was so well planned out, simple, refined and tasteful. My favorite part was the take home custom coffee roast! Or maybe the candy bar... I think 90% of my body was sugar by the time I left!

June got off to a great start with Chris and Helen last week! The sun was shining, the lake was inviting and the laughs were non-stop. I feel so lucky to be a part of days like this, and I'm grateful that after 15 years of wedding photos there are still joyful couples out there finding me.

I had a blast with these two exploring a friend's farm where they film lots of Hallmark movies. I can't say I've ever seen a movie made by a greeting card company, but if ever get around to it, I'm gonna look for this farm!

A beautiful day for a beautiful little wedding! Last weekend was my busiest with 3 back to back weddings but I truly had a blast getting to know Brendan and Mel. Their wedding was small, but elegant with photos first in the park followed by a ceremony at The Teahouse in Stanley Park. I always love getting to do weddings there, the service is excellent and the food never disappoints.

This year marks my 15th year in wedding photography. Kinda nuts how the time has flown by! I'm grateful that kind, joyful people continue to find me for their weddings.

Just wrapped up my first big wedding of the season with Bianca and Roberto, and what an unforgettable day it was! From the moment they said "I do," I knew this couple was something special. The love and joy they shared with their friends and family were truly contagious. But let's talk about the dance party at the end of the night—wow! These two know how to throw a celebration. The energy on the dance floor was electric, with everyone letting loose and having the time of their lives. I always enjoy taking family photos of my family! In fact, that's how my photography career all started in fact! See, Andrew (my cousin) and Cheilon's wedding was actually the first one I ever photographed. So it's fitting that as they welcomed Boon into their life, I was able to capture a bit of his personality. Honestly, he was a perfect subject! It was a real joy to connect with this growing family over Christmas.

The last wedding of the season was an absolute blast last night!!! Derin and Pablo know how to throw an EPIC party and I'm glad I was able to be there to capture/experience it. I was lucky enough to have a truly incredible day with Eric and Jacqueline last Saturday way up on top of the mountain! These two have been planning their wedding since 2019 and not even a global pandemic nor two acts of sabotage could prevent them from having it. And I have to say, it was truly worth the wait.

No detail was missed thanks to Jacqueline's keen artistic eye as well as Lauren and Morgan from Elyse & Co. and the whole amazing vendor team!!! Even the rain held off until the very end of photos and truly made the light and backdrops absolutely perfect. After years of delays, I'm grateful that these two held out for the perfect location and I can't wait to finish the rest of these images. Congratulations, Eric and Jacqueline!

These were some special photos this month because this tiny plaid outfit belonged to my brother Colson. Colson passed away at 7 months of age in February 1997, the same age that Wes is now. We gave Wes the middle name of Colson to honour his legacy and keep his memory alive all these years later.

Tis the season for pumpkin spice lattes, sweaters, and family photos! This weekend was crazy busy with 3 family shoots, and luckily, the weather cooperated! I don't really advertise family photos, but now that I have a growing family of my own, I've definitely grown to appreciate these photos more than ever. Also, it's a nice way to reconnect with friends and past clients who I often haven't seen since their wedding.

Mel and Michael come from opposite sides of the Pacific (Canada and Australia) and yet, they managed to form an amazingly strong and joyful connection together. The backbone of this connection was their shared Christian faith. Something I'm lucky enough to share as well.

I'm lucky to get to shoot weddings all over Canada, but there really is something special about getting to do one in your own backyard. The fact that they both brought their families together from around the world to show them West Vancouver was truly a real pleasure.

What a wedding this was! It really felt like I was just among friends the whole time. I probably haven't laughed this hard in a few months and I'm so grateful that these two chose me to capture their wedding. You really could not have asked for a better day or a kinder couple to celebrate. I also loved the fact that this wedding was extra focused on candid moments. I try to always focus on those, but they really gave me permission to lean into that and I love so many of the moments we got! Congratulations you two!!!

One of the best parts about being a wedding photographer is capturing families at different stages of their lives. We so often focus on brand new love, but there is really a whole spectrum. Take Theresa and Wayne for example, they've been together for 13 years, built an incredible home together in Langley and finally decided to tie the knot.

I had a blast at this one because it was really more about documenting candid moments, exactly what I enjoy the most. The whole day was more of an elegant garden party than a traditional wedding. Little moments like Theresa showing her 92 year old mother her dress to big moments like everyone going in the pond to the tune of "It's Raining Men". It was a memorable night!

These two are celebrating (almost) one week of marriage from Italy! I'm gonna pretend not to be jealous, but honestly, I couldn't be happier for them! Especially after so many years of travel restrictions, it's nice to see young honeymooners exploring the world. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kwok!

I had THE BEST type of reunion last Sunday at Clarence and Vienna's wedding. I got to reconnect with 3 different couples that's I've photographed over the last 3 years. I felt like a proud dad and I've got the mustache to back that up!

We all had such a lovely time celebrating Mr. & Mrs. Kwok and it was truly refreshing to see them put their faith at the center of the day.

I had the distinct pleasure of capturing Minji and Kyoungsub's wedding on Saturday! It was so wonderful to witness the love between these two as they begin their new marriage in a brand new country. Kyoungsub is a well established chef and having worked all over the world, he now claims Vancouver is his favorite place. I don't know if he was just being nice, but either way I'm glad to have him and Minji here!
