When Sam and I first spoke on the phone and she told me her and Chris's love story, I'm pretty sure I said "Are you SERIOUS?!" These two were childhood friends and grew up playing in the same neighborhood together. She remembers thinking that Chris was cute, but they got older and went their separate ways - until finally, after all these years, they found eachother again and fell in love. I had the immense honor of capturing all the precious and powerful memories as these two commited to a lifetime together, surrounded by their closest loved ones and their sweet little son CJ. One thing that resonated with me so strongly was the number of times these two and their families THANKED Ellen Dziubek and I for our work throughout the day. I always know that our couples are appreciative and want them to focus on their own experience, but the fact that everyone went out of their way to personally thank us made my heart overflow and meant more than I can explain.
