This is my final post on my Hedgehog Photographic Facebook account. My account will remain live for a little longer but my website will be taken down in mid April.
I intend to retain my associated email ( [email protected] ) as I use it to keep in contact with family and friends.
I’m currently archiving all my past weddings, family portraits, events and property shoots to offline media. I have taken this opportunity to pick out a few RANDOM images from the vast array (500,000+ ) of digital images to make into a simple (very)slide show. The volumes of old negatives will just have to remain in the attic. Sorry but the the slide show is a bit fast and furious. Also, I have tried to fit in as many weddings as I could, so humble apologies if your wedding is not included, I loved taking every single one of them. Best wishes to you all.

Hi everyone.
After nearly 50 years photographing and creating images for wedding couples, businesses, schools, property agents, families and individuals I have made the decision to wind down my Hedgehog Photographic business. I have already stopped taking advanced wedding bookings and 2023 will see me photographing my last wedding in October. After the end of this Tax year in April 2024 Hedgehog Photographic will cease to exist.

Its been wonderful for me, creating images for others over the years and getting rewarded for doing something I love doing. However, there comes a time when your body and mind tells you to slow down and take things a little easier.

I will continue to use my ed@hedgehogphotographic email but my website will be deleted later this year and I will not be taking on any photography business after March 2024. I will of course continue to take photographs for my personal enjoyment.

One very big thank you to all my customers (you know who you are). You have given me a level of fulfilment in my life which I will always cherish.

I will probably write one more post before pulling the plug on this facebook account later this years.

Spring is on its way, I had a lovely walk in the sunshine yesterday. My weddings will be starting soon as will the spring rush to sell your house/property. Spring and summer have always been the best time to sell your home. Everything is so fresh, gardens look their best and most people have smiles on their faces.
Apart from weddings photographing houses is my next busiest line of work, especially in Spring. I can provide a set of images directly to you to give to your estate agent(s) . The advantage of doing this is that it's generally cheaper and the images belong to you and not the agent, so you can use them again and again whenever you wish. As well as being less expensive I also provide several resolution sets to cover printed and internet friendly advertising. Properties vary from one bedroom flats to manor house estates. Prices start at £85 and vary relative to size of property, location and number of images required. To provide a 20/30 set of high AND low res images for a local 4 bedroom house would cost between £95 and £120 and firm price figures are provided up front so no nasty surprises! Also you do not get or have to pay the invoice until you have seen the images and are happy to pay.

At last, I have some free time to write a post. Life has been hectic recently so had little time to update my site. Sophie and Jake got married a few weeks ago and have given me permission to put up a few images of their wedding. They got married in St Lawrences Church in Upwey. Situated in a lovely village this was always going to be a lovely wedding to photograph. The reception was at the Yeovil Rugby club show ground. Sophie & Jake made my life so easy on the day and family and friends where all there to 'really' enjoy themselves. As I always supply both Colour and B&W versions of every image I have attached not only B&W pictures but also a few colour ones.

Just after we came out of the lockdown in 2021 I had the pleasure of photographing Jane and Matthew’s wedding in his parent’s garden where I had previously taken his sister’s wedding a few years before. It was nice to meet up with the family again. I was there for most of the day and the weather could not have been better. I have picked out a small selection of images, some in colour, others in B&W and one in sepia.

A little about me...

My name is Ed Gorochowski and I am a full time professional photographer specialising in capturing beautiful images for wedding couples.

I discovered photography at Brunel University, fell in love and been a slave to it ever since.

To fill up my time between weddings I also do portrait, event, commercial and real estate work and provide photographic services to businesses, schools, county councils, the Armed Forces, estate agents and the general public.

My home patch covers Somerset, Dorset, Devon and Wiltshire, but have accepted assignments across the UK.
