Masque & Gown We are a student-run theater organization at Bowdoin College. Each year, we produce two main stage productions, an overnight show, and a one acts festival.

Masque & Gown is Bowdoin College's oldest student run theater company. We produce two full scale productions a year. In addition we produce many smaller performances and events, such as coffeehouses, an overnight show, and a one act festival focused on student written work. We also bring in guest artists to run specialized theater workshops in areas ranging from clowning to playwriting to audition

BOO! Masque & Gown’s One-Act Festival is here a semester early as Spooky Acts!

Spooky Acts is a low time commitment, zero-experience-required way to get involved with theatre at Bowdoin! After a short rehearsal period, we present three short plays, 10-15 minutes in length. Then, the audience will vote on the show that was BEST-DIRECTED!

Zero experience required, this is just a fun way to hang out at the pub and hear some of your ideas--think One Acts but lower stakes//or flash fiction but onstage.

We are back with another chance to act in a Masque & Gown project this semester. M&G is thrilled to present our three student-written one act plays for this year’s One Act Festival, and we need actors! This is a low commitment opportunity, with a quick turnaround time: the performance will likely be on Saturday, Feb 19.
