Ignore the TV sound in the background 🤪 Being home based means that my worlds overlap sometimes and that’s okay!
Save time and boost your efficiency by batching your floral designs! 🌿
Instead of making one arrangement at a time, work on 5–10 pieces in stages. Start by adding greenery to all your arrangements ( you can even do this the week before) , then move on to roses, followed by carnations, and so on.
Focusing on one step at a time keeps your workflow smooth, reduces wasted effort, and ensures your designs are consistent. It’s the perfect way to work faster, waste less, and create beautiful, cohesive arrangements—especially for busy days or large events!

🎄 PSA: You don’t need to buy all new Christmas tree decor every year! 🙅♀️ Let’s be real—decorating a tree can get expensive fast, and most people aren’t switching up their theme annually.
🌟 Instead, pick a theme you truly love and stick with it! Build on it year after year by adding little touches—like larger ornaments, smaller ones, ribbon, picks, or whatever speaks to you. There’s no right or wrong when it comes to making your tree feel special and uniquely yours.
✨ Remember: it’s not about perfection, it’s about enjoying the process and making it personal. So, save this as a reminder, and share with a friend who could use some budget-friendly holiday inspo! 🎁🎄

When people ask why I’m a home-based floral designer, the answer is simple: I love being home with my 2- and 4-year-old. The giggles, the stories, the chaos, and the fun make every day so special. 🌸💕
Is it always easy or perfect? Absolutely not! 😂 We have hard days just like everyone else, but the beauty of this setup is that I can do what I love while being with the ones I love most.
And let me say this loud and clear: being home-based doesn’t make you any less of a designer. Your talent isn’t measured by whether you pay rent or not. My flowers are stunning, and my kids near—sounds like a win-win to me! 🌷✨

Don’t tell me you have never seen a bush, tree or twig and thought YES! I have to have it!
….Then shamelessly pulled over, grabbed you clippers and got to work 😂
As florists we always see “one man’s trash” as our perfect treasure!
True story….I once followed at man all the way to the dump because he was about to toss a truck bed full of red twig dogwood! It was tragedy that I couldn’t live with 😂😂 He gladly gave them to me even though he thought I was crazy.
What side of the road foraging have you done?!

Come along as design some focal pieces for a wedding ceremony!
I let these stress me out wayyyyyy to much the week before the wedding because to be honest I didn’t really have a plan 😜
I had 3 different plans in my head. I knew as I worked through the design I would narrow down what was going to work best. Meanwhile the week before I just lost sleep about it 😂
You don’t always have to have a solid plan to start BUT you MUST give yourself enough time to figure it out.
I worked out the details on this design on Thursday for a Saturday wedding.
For the love of all brides, DO NOT wait until you are onsite to work out the kinks of big projects. Get the details all ironed out before the big day!
I hope you enjoy this type of behind the scenes video. Leave me a comment below to let me know what you think and what you would have done differently!

Assuming you can’t afford something!
You don’t know if you don’t ask!
Too many times I have seen brides not actually tell their florist what they WANT but only what they “think” they can have. They assume they can’t have a meadow or an arch piece etc so that don’t even bring it up during the consultation.
DO NOT DO THIS! Do this instead 👇
1. Tell your florist all of the items on your wish list.
2. Talk about what particular flowers you love and which ones that you hate
3. Talk about the overall color scheme and vision that you are going for
4. Let them know you desired priced point
Once you have given your florist the whole picture they can work their magic! They will know A) Whether your budget is doable or what you need to cut and B) What flowers, vessels etc to use to make your whole vision work within your budget
You see we can quote the same “look” at several different price points. In the higher end version of the look we might use more stems of high end flowers and containers that are more sophisticated
We can quote the same look at a lower budget by focusing the more expensive blooms in featured arrangements and using less expensive containers
If you don’t give your florist the WHOLE vision they cant accurately quote you.
Find somebody you trust and let them work their magic! If they aren’t willing to help you come up with creative solutions then they might not be the right fit for you 💕
Share this with a fellow bride to be!

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again @dollartree have got it going on when it comes to vases and vessels!
I prefer to spend more money on the flowers vs the container than they are going in. These are actually bowls in the kitchen section but they work so well for centerpieces!
These are definitely a cream not a true white so keep that in mind.
If you are looking for something that is a little more sophisticated or a true white @hobbylobby has some great options that are super affordable especially when they are on sale.
If you are looking for bud vases @amazon should be your go to! They have great bud vase mixed packs that cost just over $1 each vase.
I hope this helps with your wedding planning! Share it with friend if it will help them out!

💐🤑 Let’s break it down: Anemones, ranunculus, and peonies – these blooms aren’t just breathtaking; they’re budget busters too! First up, anemones. These delicate beauties boast striking colors and intricate patterns, but their scarcity drives up their price. Anemones require precise growing conditions and are cultivated in limited quantities, making them a luxury choice for weddings.
Next, we have ranunculus. With their layers of delicate petals and vibrant hues, ranunculus are a favorite among brides. However, their short growing season and intricate cultivation process contribute to their high cost. Ranunculus require careful handling and specialized care, adding to their price tag.
And finally, peonies. Oh, the beloved peony! With their lush blooms and romantic appeal, peonies are the epitome of luxury in the floral world. But their limited availability, short blooming season, and high demand make them one of the most expensive flowers for weddings. Peonies require patience and meticulous care, making them a coveted but costly choice.
So, while these blooms may steal the show with their beauty, they also come with a hefty price tag. If you’re ready to splurge on your wedding florals, these flowers are sure to make a statement – just be prepared to dig a little deeper into your budget! #WeddingSplurge #FloralFantasies #BudgetBusters #cda #cdaweddings #spokane #spokaneweddings #brides #weddingplanning #brideonabudget
Planning your 2025 wedding? Here are 3 tips from your florist friend to keep your floral budget in check:
1. **Prioritize Your Petals**: Focus on what’s truly important to you when it comes to flowers. Not every element needs to be lavish. Consider skipping items like boutonnières or corsages if they aren’t a priority. If centerpieces are less significant to your vision, opt for simpler designs and allocate your budget to areas that will have a bigger impact on your day.
2. **Mix and Match**: Combine high and low-cost flowers to achieve a luxurious look without the hefty price tag. A few standout blooms can be paired with more affordable greenery or filler flowers to create stunning arrangements that don’t break the bank.
3. **Double Duty**: Make your flowers work overtime by reusing them throughout your wedding day. Ceremony arrangements can be repurposed for the reception, and bouquets can adorn the head table. This way, you get double the beauty for half the cost!
