I had a wonderful time DJing at the Pop-Up Market Stage for the takeover at Festival this past weekend…It was so much fun to play through such an awesome Sound System for a Festival Crowd! It was also joyous to reconnect with old friends and to make some new ones- Thankyou, you’re all amazing creatures! Special thanks and love to for having me along for the ride, to of for being so cool and lovely and to for joining me on the adventure, for the continued Logistical Support (haha) and for being my official Chaperone!

“Saudade” (2014) by Thievery Corporation…A Dreamy, Modern Electronic take on Bossa Nova.

Saudade is a Portuguese word which is said to be the essence of Bossa Nova. “Essentially, Saudade has several meanings- a longing for something or someone that is lost, a contented melancholy, or simply, the presence of absence.”

We had DJ Mr. Butler in the shop this week..he’s a new customer and settled in to try out some of our vinyl with his portable deck! 🎧 He found lots to buy off us, we will hopefully see him again now he knows where to find us 😄

I’ve been listening pretty much exclusively to Astrud Gilberto and related Bossa Nova and Brazillian sounds since I heard the sad news of her passing the other day…Her voice was my introduction to this style of music, with it’s mellow, intoxicating Rhythm and textures -her legacy will undoubtedly live on. Thankyou Astrud, RIP X

I’m beyond excited to announce that I will be playing a set at Wilderness Festival this year!

You will be able to find me on the Thursday Evening (7.30-9.00 PM) in the fantastic Pop-Up Market area curated by the one and only Christopher Pedley …Expect an all vinyl blend of Jazz, Gospel, Psych & More!

It would be fabulous to see some familiar faces, I’m really looking forward to this one so come along and have a dance with me!
